Re: Ipod wont synch
If you did a hard reset and it still doesn't connect, not even to
windows explorer, you most likely have a broken logic board, (defective flash memory). You can
try to replace the board yourself if you are confident with cracking things open, there are guide websites that teach you iPod repair skills but you should have a little bit of tech background to do so.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

The Ipod or the USB cable may be defective. Try first connecting the Ipod to a different computer to test it, or using a different data cable.
If Ipod works, then do the following.
Unplug computer power cable, and if it is a laptop or a macbook also remove battery for ten minutes. This will get rid of elecrostatic charges on USB connectors. If that does not work try reinstalling Itunes, this will synch the Ipod again with the computer.
Try it on another computer and if it happens its the ipod.
Or try restalling itunes with the lates version (7.7.1)
If that doesnt work try using a different program for your ipod eg Jriver media center
you need to format, full format, use windows explorer, right click on ipod then format, not quick, then load itunes, should give you the option to restore, do this, then should automatically sync music as long as you don't tick the manual manage box.
I know another way you could try formatting which may fix this problem. Restoreing just restores all the setting to your iPod yes it shoudl format as well but it may not due to an error or something.
To do try it another way follow these steps, first click on "Start" - "My Computer" look for you iPod when it's connect usually called "Removable Disk" once you've found it "Right-click" on it then click on "Format", once format is complete disconnect, then connect it again then run "Update" for your iPod and for iTunes, once you've done that have another attempt.
Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful in some way. Further problems leave a comment and i will get back to you.
try reseting your ipod. to do this, simply hold down the middle button, and menu at the same time. (try to push them at the same time) wait a few seconds and it should reset to factory settings. try to resync it then. if this doesnt work contact me via e-mail and i will do my very best to give you more help.
