Question about Symphonic ST420FF 20" TV

TV Making a Loud Noise

The television is making a loud buzzing noise when it is on. The noise doesn't always occur; but when it does occur it is loud and disturbing and ruins the enjoyment of watching the television. The noise is not localized to a specific channel, and there is no way to predict when it will begin or end. I have had the television for about three years and I think that the television is in someway defective.

Any Advice,

Thanks,

Cory.

For the most part it seems that the problem cannot be corrected. It sounds like this problem is the result of wear and tear of the television. I will try to adjust the brightness to see if there is any improvement; thanks for the solution.

This can happen with the flyback transformer's brightness which can be adjusted , also the power transformer can make humming or buzzing sounds which can't be adjusted , also this can happen with the picture tube or the CRT board failing , and sometimes chips with heat sinks or the IC's themselfs

It has a loud buzzing noise how do I fix that problem?

It appears that your connections are not correct. Please switch off the TV. Disconnect all the cable. Wait for some time. Reconnect cables one by making sure you strictly follow the color code i.e. that red pin cable must go in the red socket. After all the cables are connected switch on the TV. Loud buzzing noise is due to wrong connection of cables especially the Earthing/Neutral

My samsung 42 inch hdtv is making a buzzing noise

First. The whirring or buzzing sound you hear is the Color Wheel and it needs to be replaced. Second, since I do not know when and if the original lamp has been replaced it is a good idea to replaced the lamp. The bad Color Wheel is the one causing the set to shut down.
