Take out all the disks from your computer drives and start up again.
If the computer prompt for a disk or OS, probably you have a HDD problem.

To get your CD drive available to boot...you must set that option on your PC bios (boot options menu)

Hp compaq 530usdt windows\system32\conf\system. File missing or corrupt

insert original win installation cd and reboot... when in boot mode make sure you are booting from CD, not from disk, when message asking that you "boot up from cd " appears, just press any key, and folow procedure, but do not install a new copy of windows ! There must be "repair your computer" option on your CD, for Win Xp - it is "recovery console" ! When repairing finishes restart computer and boot from disk (just do not press anything when you see message "boot from CD..." and let windows from HDD configure it self).

Need a new hard drive but have no windows vista disk

You don't.
Do you have backup software? If so, do a "disk and partition" backup. This essentially creates an image of your system, even if you have multiple hard disks. Decent backup software (I won't mention any brands except the one I use: Acronis) will allow for a boot time recovery of your entire system, either by inserting a post-bios command -- which will appear on your screen before windows startup with a message like "Press F12 for system recovery", or you should press whatever key your system allows for boot order and boot from the recovery disk you can create from the software.
You can even now immediately create a Windows backup to an appropriately sized USB mounted disk (even the terabyte ones are relatively cheap) and a Windows Recovery Disk...the recovery disk should be inserted and use boot order F-key...good luck

First of all your problem is caused by the hard disk - it has died and must be replaced. Second you are booting from the wrong disk Hiren's disk is a very specialized system analysis and recovery disk, it's not a Windows reinstall one. You should use the disks that came with your pc for that, after you replace the hard disk. Finally you should check the memory sticks, the low memory warning appears only when it way low, less than 256MB. If this is really how it is then you should buy more.

When i turn my computer on i get a message that says, disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter

Your boot file on your hard drive may have been corrupted. You need to start the computer with your operating system disc in the drive, and hopefully it will be able to repair your operating system. good Luck!

Boot from your system disc and do windows over again, and then go to format selected partition. First go to your bios and go to boot disk priority then select first boot device on boot from disk. Then exit and safe with changes. Put your system disk in and there you go

Non system message

Your boot sequence is probably not set to boot from the Hard drive first. Remove any floppy disks/CD's from their drives and try to boot it.

If you are still getting the message then you have files that are corrupt on your hard drive.

Computer won't boot

check if you have floppy disk or cd-rom disk inserted, the bios may have look for the operating systems on this drive. If there's a disk on this drive, remove them and try to reboot your computer.

Make sure your bios defaults to the disk which has the master boot record. usually it's in C drive.

Let me know.

Thanks.
