Hi. If the Stereo system is a factory fitted one, then you need to ring a dealer who sells that brand of car in your area and they can help with the code. Have your vehicle registration/ ownership details ready.

Ive bought a standard cd player to replace my cassette player. the cd player is connected but asks for an unlock code

Did you buy a stock cd player from another vehicle? If so, you may be screwed. You usually have to have the vin number of the original vehicle to obtain the code from the dealer. This insures that the radio isn't stolen. If you purchased an aftermarket radio, there shouldn't be a code. If you did buy an aftermarket cd player and it requires a code, what brand? Let me know and I will see if I can help.

I have a 93 jaguar xj6, and my battery had died but now its charged and now my radio is saying "code", then it will say "waiting", how do i get it back to normal?

This is the type of problem that is experienced by some vehicles that have their audio players as part of their security systems. In other word, once the battery is removed or dies(or any other thing that could cause it to seem like the battery is inactive) the radio or audio player would ask you for a security code once it is re-connected.
To solve this problem, there are a couple of things you can do.
1. You can go through the car manual or through the security booklet that must have come with the car. Normally, this code is written down in one of these books or both of them.
2. Also, if you can contact your dealer or local jaguar dealer, he might be able to assist you by sending a complaint to the company and requesting for the code from the company.
3. You can decide to call jaguar yourself. This is not really the best option as they may not treat your request as a very serious one.
4. :Lastly, this is also not the best advised but you can if you have to do it. You can visit a very good car electronics or security systems shop and ask them to help you jump or hack the systems and override the code.
Hope this was helpful?

Hi can i ask for the audio code for kia carnival 2000 - just disconnected to battery and then the audio is asking for a code... Pls help me. Thanks

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code. You can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorized dealership. Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.
