Question about Britax Monarch - Red Racer Booster Car Seat
We put our Britax Monarch together and now we do not know how to take the back off of it to make it into the backless booster.
While holding onto the base, push the backrest all the way backward. This will take some force. Once the backrest is flat, you can slide the axel off. Note that it only slides off one way - toward the open end.

The instructions for removal are a little vague, but it seems that there is a recline lever in the back which allows it to be upright or slightly reclined. It warns that if you recline farther, the backrest can become loose. I think that is the way you will remove the backrest from the seat.
Make sure that this backless seat is ALWAYS used with a lap and shoulder belt combo, not just a lap belt for safety.
