Danld, not sure what happened to my email to you. I will send it again. The solution to my problem was to use this web site http://www.pdasmart.com/aximpartscenterx3.htm. I bought the replacement assemble for the 3X axim. It might seem a bit pricey but it solved my problem. I have been using my axim ever since with no problems. They have a fast turnaround time too. I believe I got it back with a week or so. They also have good prices on replacement batteries. I have purchased two of them and they are working very well. Hope this helps you and anyone else that had screen problems. You can't get this model of axim anymore and I think it was worth the repairs I put into mine.

My Axim X30 would not turn on using battery power but would turn on when connected through charger adapter.
1. Connect AC adapter directly to the charger adapter and then to the Axim X30 and to the electrical outlet.
2. Charge battery until power button is solid green.
3. Press the power button to power on.
4. Remove cable from cable connector leaving the cable connector connected to the Axim X30. The Axim X30 will remain powered on.
5. Turn the Axim X30 off.
6. Turned the Axim X30 on using battery power.
7. Remove cable connector from Axim X30.
This isnt too bad, if you are using windows vista, the CD is obsolete, use the syncing technology in mobile device center to access the storage card/drive inside the pda form your computer and you can do it that way. Windows XP: you can go to the microsoft website and get Activesync which will allow you to transfer files as well. If you are using a mac, I am sorry.
Al i can say is good luck, flash doesnt work on these, as far as i have found, you can put movies on an SD card and play them in media player , or there is a nifty program called pocket tv that works good. the only online video i have found that works is on MSN mobile, sorry it an old little machine and cant really do the graphics requirements
Ok...first what you want to do is take the usb which is attached to the cradle and plug it into your computer. Then if your computer is old you might want to download active syn. From there you can synchronize your personal information
If it works with the iPAQ it should work on the Axim. For the most part, anything for Pocket PC 2002 and/or ARM based processors should work just fine on the Axim. I haven't tried it on the Axim either, but there is not reason it shouldn't work.
