I have a vintage Hardwick gas stove squealing sound coming from the range when oven has been on? Thought it might be the clock/timer.... can't tell and very annoying? Thoughts?

It could be your clock when the clock gets old the clock motor can start sqeaking. It is unusual if it only does it when the oven is on but perhaps it is heating up and then starts to make noise. the only other thing I can think of is your oven safety valve may be not opening completly and causing a whistle.

Hi. I have a Maytag CWE4200ACB wall mount oven that seems to have a circuit board/timer problem. When the oven is turned on and temp set you can hear (at the control panel) one click and the "on"...

The clicking noise comes from the control board relays. The board has three relays. One for for bake. One for broil. One for light/fan auxiliary functions.

Try switching on only bake or broil. If one of the two elements (either bake or broil) gets hot, then the problem is either element or timer board. Make sure that the element has continuity at the Ohm meter.

If both bake and broil do not work test first the oven temperature sensor located inside the oven cavity. Make sure that impedance of the sensor at room is about 1.1KOhms . If sensor is open or shorted, replace the sensor. If sensor reading is OK test wiring and elements for continuity and eventually replace the control board if the rest is OK. Even if door switch should not affect regular programs, check the door switch reading impedance or jumping it.To test wiring test continuity of red and black lines. Check black line between power cord and relay board. Test with particular attention the oven temperature sensor, that is a common cause for your symptoms. Here the part:Long Oven Sensor Kit

Here a wiring diagram for your oven.

I have a Tork 1101 timer and up until now has worked fine. Now it won't shut off. The mechanical on/off tabs are set correctly. It turns on and as the timing wheel comes around, the shut off tab...

If clock is rotating on time, next suspect is P47 trippers have worn down. Trippers are made of softer metal so they wear down instead wearing down the on-off lever, and that way the timer lasts longer.,Photo.Cells...Time.Controls,Replacement.Trippers

New replacement Tork 1101 120Volt timer can be purchased on-line at Amazon etc.

My Broaster 1800 timer counts down correctly but no sound comes out of the speaker, only a clicking noise. I have replaced the speaker and still same problem

If you have replaced the speaker with a new one and you still have the same problem, you will have to replace the control panel. The current P/N is 15708, but if your unit is more than 10 years old you will also need a controller conversion kit (P/N 15755 if yours is an electric unit, or 15756 for a gas unit). You can get the parts from a Broster distributor, go to to find the closest one.

Clock went out and now have a loud clicking sound even with electricty turn off.

Checked the fuse box and found no issue, but switched it on and off. Then replugged in the oven but still got the clicking sounds. However after again repushing the clock reset buttons the clock came back on and clicking stopped.

Fuse from with old kenmore range

There is an internal component in the clock that is probably responsible for the noise not much can be done other than changing the clock. Also try tightening all screws on the clock. good luck
