Intermatic t10004rt3 pool timer cycles a loud hum/buzz noise like bad contacts or relay

T10004R control center has one T104 240V timer, with extra space for another timer or freeze control etc.
You can clean up the timer and replace clock motor to stop most noises.
The T104M (M for mechanism-only, snaps into the control center enclosure.
The T104 also snaps out of enclosure using thumb spring located top inside box.
Take image of wires before disconnecting from timer.
The T104 is identical to WH40, same parts, same trippers, same appearance, except with different override lever.
Here are photos of WH40 showing how to take apart timer and clean it, also with links identifying replacement parts:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Photos-of-WH40-timer.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#T104

If you need to replace timer, it is cheaper to buy the ordinary T104 that comes inside a box and can be snapped out, instead of buying T104M (M for mechanism-only)

Why is my motor making a loud clicking noise? I have power when I switch it to the "On" position. Switching the "Off" or "On" switch does not change the clicking sound. I have not used this since I

2) Blow out timer with compressed air.
Turn power off, and spray highly flammable WD40 vapor onto timer parts.
Wood surface will carry sound, like a guitar or violin ... apply sound deadening material between timer and wood surface.
Apply bit of white grease to motor gears.
Treat timer as any other electrical appliance and keep timer door closed to protect agains fire hazard.

3) Add comment and say what product you are talking about and what you have done so far.

Tork Timer 1101 Noisey!!

Spray gears with WD40. And blow out timer with air. Turn off power: WD40 vapor is highly flammable accelerant.
Do not spray WD40 on live electric connections or hot surface.
Install timer on non-wood surface so sound does not resonate sound like a wood violin.

You can also buy replacement clock motor #101 for about $48.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-timers-and-manuals.html#1101

Or buy the T1101M replacement mechanism for $59 and screw into current box, or buy whole new T1101 with the box for about $53 and just use the new mechanism.

Or replace with new Intermatic T101 timer for $45 at Smarthome.
Crossover wiring:
Tork L&1 to Intermatic 1
Tork 2 to Intermatic 2
Tork x to Intermatic A

Hello I have an older T103 Intermatic which controlls outside lights. It is no longer turning on lights and is making an unusual clicking noise. Can it be repaired or should I install a new...

You can replace the clock motor for $16 ...
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/search.shtml?searchQuery=Wh40&op=search&Ntt=Wh40&N=0&sst=subset
... but if the mechanical timer mechanism is worn out, then that is not repairable. To check mechanism, lift timer dial and rotate tripper pins out of way, then click manual override on-and-off >> if override works fine, and lights come on then motor is probably the problem.

If you buy a new T103, the insides might snap right into old timer box without needing to replace the box. To remove insides, depress retainer spring located at top, tip out timer, and lift to remove. New timer has 4 tripper pins. Save old tripper pins, and tape them inside box.

My ler7646eq2 will not start, button makes a click noise when I push it in, and I can here the timer making noise. But the dryer doesn't come on.

The capacitor is probably bad. The relay is still working that is why you can hear a click noise. It won't come on since the motor needs to have enough voltage from the capacitor to initialize. Good luck.

Clicking could be a bad starter relay if the noise is coming from the back under the unit where the compressor is. check it here Check your compressor relay- http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/check/compressorrelay.php
The clicking could be coming from a fan, one of which is near the compressor under the unit and another is in the freezer behind the rear cover inside.
The defrost timer could be clicking. This sound would come from the fridge. Part 6 on this diagram. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getSubComp.pd?modelNumber=ED5NHGXMQ00&productCategoryId=0165000&brandId=1198&modelName=SIDE-BY-SIDE-REFRIGERATOR&diagramPageId=00011&componentDescription=CONTROL%20PARTS&documentId=W0309019&backToLink=Return%20to%20Sub%20Components%20list
How to check everything
http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat.
You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

Clicking sound coming from thermostat area - when it's clicking the temperature numbers are off - was clicking for short periods of time - now clicking for hours

Hi, The clicking noise sound like a clock ticking? If so, it is probably you defrost timer. The defrost timer has a motor on it that sounds like a clock and has four wires that go to it..
This is what I would check first.

Washer make clicking sound

First locate were the sound is coming from. put your ear very close to the timer and listen for this clicking sound. remember a timer will make a clicking noise which makes the timer go around. Timers can get noisey with age. The sound might be coming from below also .I would run your washing machine until the part fails. They might also have a motor controller in this unit which is seperate to the timer which will make a high pitch clicking noise.
