I know this thread is a little old but I thought the question has still been left unanswered. Tonnage is assumed. But, CFM and BTUs are exact.
If anybody wants to know the true size of their a/c or heating system you need to go where the engineers go.
http://www.ahrinet.org/Home.aspx

Consumers and contractors need to rethink their thinking when it comes to whole house heating and cooling... (Im from a hot humid area in the USA) Hot dry areas have other needs I won't.
ie... an air conditioner is no longer BTU's in a box. They have evolved into computers. computers that drive the blower motors, the expansion valves, the thermostat/controller can tell you the sub cooling, superheat, and the delta-t. Some tell you if the duct work is incorrect, static pressure against the blower. They are also not as forgiving if installed incorrectly.
Our industry is just catching on, but the consumer is untrustworthy when it comes to duct work and static pressure.
And in our high humidity market having high airflow with low static pressures removes far more humidity then a duct system installed over 10 years ago, Also, most homes lack proper return grille sizes, when the homeowner's desires are to put MERV 16 filters.
Here is a very useful link for duct and grille sizing.

I have a Brivis buffalo 26 unit...the heating is on but it's blowing cold air the pilot doesn't seem to be light but I don't know how to relight it!

Try adjusting your thermostat, contact point possibly melt and welded by electric sparks. Replace thermostat control if contact won't get open.

When main gas valve opens to start burners the gas pauses then ignites with a high volume woof. The pilot flame looks a little small could this be the issue. This unit is Brivis Buffalo year 1988 model...

The problem is called "Delayed Ignition". This can be caused by burner & pilot obstructions (dust, lint and/or pet hair) and needs to be thoroughly cleaned. At 23 years old, I'm surprised the unit is still in service.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem.

MY BRIVIS BUFFALO UNIT HAS AN ELECTRONIC GAS RE-IGNITOR THAT CLICKS AND DOES NOT STOP CAN I REMOVE IT.

Hi you will need to replace the thermocouple, which is in the burner chamber lower left side. You will probably find that the end has burnt through. The control system is trying to establish the pilot light and will not stop the clicking until a signal is returned through the pilot flame to confirm the flames existence. Hi We have just arrived back in Wellington from overseas. Our house has a gas central heating system - the unit is Brivis Buffalo 20. What we would like to know is how cost effective the Brivis Buffalo 20...

Hi, if you are planning to change this system out, please stay with a gas fired central system as compared to a heat pump, they are much more cost effective. Heat-pumps have so many problems as there are more parts on them to go wrong. The compressor and condenser fan motor run year around as with a heat-pump they use what is called a reversing valve that changes the flow of freon making the indoor coil the outdoor coil and the same with the outdoor coil becomes the indoor coil in the winter season. I can recommend excellent gas fired units compared to the Brivis unit you have that is much more cost effective, such as the Bryant, Carrier, Goodman. I would go with a Bryant and talk to a dealer. Stay away from a heat-pump no matter what they tell you as I have worked on them for many years and if you have gas available, stay with gas. You will heat your home much faster and save on electricity as this heat -pump units need heat strips for back up heat as they can't keep up the temperature with out them. I hope I have been of help to you on this, and you will be kind when rating me as I know you will. Please contact a Bryant dealer as you will not regret it.
Sincerely,

Heating isn't working, can't find the red button to relight the pilot

Many times the knob to turn the gas on on the valve is also the pilot knob. Turn it to pilot and hold it down while you light the pilot. Hold it for up to a minute and release. If the pilot stays on then turn it to on. If not you need a new thermocouple.

Brivis Ducted Heating system. No display on Programmable controller inside hoiuse. Electronic Control (Model 14100) located on Heater (outside house)displays "Searching". Have turned off...

Hi,
I have an identical issue with my Brivis.
Did you get a solution?
Mine can be running, then goes blank and says searching. it will eventually come back.
Just wondering if you had to replace the 14100?

Cheers
James
