"My Yamaha receiver RX v575 will not power up it has a blinking red light when trying to power up " Never press power button more than 3 times. Your amp will be locked, otherwise. (1)Download RXV575 service manual. (2)Read P.25 to 29 to see if protection occurs. (3)Read P.31 and follow the diag steps. (4)If I protect, check all power transistors, two 0.22Ohm resistors and biasing circuit such as all components connected to Q2022 of front L channel, on P.108. (5)If dc protect, check if DC comes out from speaker terminal, opening metal cover required. (6)If thermal protect, replace a thermal sensor. (7)If power supply problem, ps prt, check all power supply circuits, including regulators and caps.
It means the its faulty and it has an intelligent fault detector that helps the equioment to protect on its own, a technician will help you diagnose the fault, check amp module(output ic/transistors)
First check all speaker wiring to make certain there's no shorts. Protection system come on if there's an overload. These are caused by shorts. If the speakers and wires are good then the only other cause is the main amp, possibly a transistor, has shorted.
Hi the protection light comes on when there is a problem within the amps. circuitry. Generally speaking the protection light normally comes on when powered up while the amp checks all of its voltage rails so that they all lie within a specific tolerance, when all have been verified to be in spec. then the protect light goes out & the power light comes on. If the protect light stays on then a fault exists within it's circuitry. Cheers, acbva.
check your subs disconnect them the try to power the amp up if it powers up the the subs have died and it could be a problem with that amp i suggest you get a better amp
Normally this denotes a protect condition. Remove the speaker wires from the back of the amp and see if the green light stays on. If this fixes the problem, then there is a short circuit in your wires, speaker level volume control or speakers. The amp sees the short and goes into protect. After a couple seconds it closes the connection again and if the short is still present it goes back into protect.
what are the color of the lights that stay on.red= protect/ green=on.if the amp has little sound it probably still working, check deck output volume(rca)
