Problem for Canon DM-XM2 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Record on 2 Devices at the same time?

I am going to transfer my Digital Hi tapes to Mini DV. Is there a fire wire hub or something where I can record both on the Mini DV and Computer at the same time? I want to use firewire so everything remains digital. Any other suggestions besides recording on one and than the other.

Firewire hubs do exist - they will allow all three devices to connect to each other. However, only one device will be able to control the other, at a given time.
If Digital Hi means Digital8, and you want the ultimate target to be MiniDV, you should be able to connect both directly with a 4pin/4pin firewire cable - you don't need the PC involved at all.
