There's no way to solve these directly on the TI-30XA.

But the 2 examples you ask about you can do in your head....!

How can i write this in my calculator example. 2x=10 the answer is x=5 but how can i put x in the calculator

What you want to do is solve the linear equation 2x=10 to find the value of the unknown x that makes the equality true. Solving an equation usually involves rearranging therms, factors and so on. However your calculator was not designed to handle the solution of equations, no matter how simple they are.
Some Casio scientific calculators can solve some types of equations (polynomials of degree 2 or 3, simultaneous linear equations in up to 3 unknowns). These are the FX-115 ES (Plus) and FX-991 ES (Plus C). Other equivalent models are sold in the world under different names.

How do I solve for x, 5[(2x+9)/3]=-4(2x+2)?

The Casio Fx300ES does not have an Equation Solver. You must solve by hand (pen and paper). Here is how it goes.

What ia the sulution of 3y-6x=-3

To find the solution, first find the value of y for each equation.
Then substitue one equation into the other so that you only the x variable left.
Then just solve for x.
Once you have a value for x, then you can easily solve for y.

So for the first equation:

3y - 6x = -3
3y = 6x - 3

y = 2x - 1

Now for the second equation:

2y + 8x = 10
2y = -8x + 10

y = -4x + 5

Since both equations equal y, they also equal each other, therefore:

2x - 1 = -4x + 5

Now just solve for x:

2x + 4x = 5 + 1
6x = 6

x=1

Now substitute x=1 into either original equation:

y = 2x - 1
y = 2 (1) - 1
y = 2 - 1

y = 1

Therefore the solution is x=1 and y=1

Good luck, I hope that helps.

2x^3+6x^2-x=3 I know -3 works for x. But so does -or+ square root of 2 divided by 2. I need the steps so I can see how you get -or+ square root of 2 divided by 2. The question says solve for x.

On most calculators with a solver function, you can specify a starting value for the variable (in this case x) after pressing [Solve] but before pressing the = key.

To get the three solutions, try entering the function, pressing [Solve] then an estimated starting point (say 0.5 or 0.7) then [=]. This should show the +root2/2 result (ie 0.7071067812).
You should not need to enter the function again.
Follow this by pressing [Solve] again, then another estimated starting point (say -0.5 or -0.7) then [=] to get the -root2/2 result.
Similarly, then press [Solve] again, and enter another estimated starting point (say -2) then [=] to get the final solution of -3.

On Casio calculators, the [Solve] function is usually found by pressing [Shift][Calc]. Note that the solver function generally won't return numbers in surd form, only as a decimal value.

For instance if I have a problem of 4x+1-x=2x-13+5. how do I enter it in my T E to find wha is X

Hi,
This calculator does not have a Solve function or a solver. However this example of yours is very simple that you can do it by hand. If you do not mind I will show you how to solve it. Not everything needs a calculator.
You want to solve for x. OK
  1. Start by gathering similar terms 4x-x =3x; -13+5 =-8
  2. Rewrite your equation as 3x+1=2x-8
  3. Make the +1 change side while changing its sign
  4. 4x+1 -1 = 2x-8 -1 or 4x=2x-9
  5. Make +2x on the Right hand side go to the left hand side, changing its sign in the process 4x-2x=-9 or 2x=-9
  6. Divide both members by 2. This gives
  7. x=-9/2 or -4.5 if a decimal result is required.
Hope it helps.

Solving a linear equation from TI30XS Multiview

Hello,
Sorry this calculator cannot solve equations. It does not have the program. It does not know how to do those things. However it can calculate. Before you can use the calculator you must prepare all yourself. When you have solved the problem, you ask the calculator to compute the value of what you found.

Let us clean the equation a bit
2(x-4) -5x=-5
Get rid of the parentheses 2(x-4) becomes 2x-2*4=2x-8 .Put that result where it was in equation
2x-8 -5x=-5
Group together the terms that have x in them 2x-5x=-3x
Then
2x-8-5x=-5, becomes -3x-8=-5
You want to isolate the term with x (have it on one side, and the others on the other side) -3x= -5 -(-8)= -5+8 =3.

The equation becomes
-3x=3 Thus -x=3/3=1 and x=-1.
In general you would have obtained x= (some number/some other number) and that is where the calculator would intervene.

Hope it helps.

I was ablto to solve for zeros in my ti-89, but know it will not

type: F2,1,12=2x+4,x)
You should see: solve(12=2x+4,x) x=4
you need to make sure that there is an '=' and then you need to type ',x' at the end.

How do i solve for x on my ti-89?

First to solve a problem, write it like this

solve(3/x-2+21/x^2-4=14/x+2,x)

Second, for inverse, do this (note the "y=" part)

solve(y=3x^2 -2x+1,x)

The calculator will rewrite the formula as x = ...
