I assume you already have fonts you want to install. If not, you'll need to buy what you want first from somewhere like

  1. Open "My Computer"
  2. Open "C:"
  3. Open "WINDOWS"
  4. Find the Fonts folder, but don't open it.
  5. Drag the font(s) you want to install to the fonts folder.
You might need to restart programs you have open for the new font(s) to appear in the fonts menu.

I understand that you are having issue with the fonts in windows 7 64 bit operating system. You can restore the default font and remove any changes that you've made to your display settings from Appearance and Personalization.
Here's how:

a. Open Fonts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Fonts.
b. In the left pane, click Font settings.
c. Click Restore default font settings.

This also removes all manual changes that you've made to your display settings.

Britannica 2012 ultimate hangs up at folder d;\data\media2-data does not move stuck there for 3 hr anyone help with this problem running windows xp home thanks for any help

It sounds like you are trying to install some fonts, and trying to install a lot of fonts can get a little tricky. also sounds like you are transferring these from a DVD? The following should help:
first lets create a new folder on the desktop, call it something like "britannica fonts 1"now try just transferring a portion of the fonts to your desktop into the newly created folder.ok, once those have finished moving from the DVD to the desktop go ahead and drag and drop those .ttf files from the desktop to the windows fonts folder.repeat this step until they're all installed. you can delete the desktop files afterwards. The fonts are installed now and won't be going anywhere .

Installing fonts as complex script in Microsoft word

you are correct in your assumptions on the fonts. I would suggest searching for "complex scripts" and choosing those you like preferrably in TrueType format for best performance try these and install by saving to your fonts folder....
