When you press power ( on the wii itself), keep holding the power button for 4-5 second and it should go to standby mode, front led shines RED. :)

Yellow light on wii

It's just the way the wii works. Hold the power button for about 5 seconds and the power button will go red and turn off instead of going yellow and going into standby mode.

this is standby mode and is perfectly normal. Once it connects to the internet and updates it will always do this. Its nothing to worry about.

I just put the internet on my wii and now when i turn my wii off the light is yellow, not red, and the area where you put the disc in keeps blinking blue.

This is because you have wiiconnect24 turned on. wiiconnect24 keeps your wii in a standby mode so that you can receive messages when you are not playing the wii. When the disc tray is blinking blue this means you have a new message. If you want to turn wiiconnect24 off go into the wii settings menu then wiiconnect24. If you just want to turn the wii off fully then when you want to turn the wii off hold the power button on the wii down until it turns red.

The light on my Wii is red when the console is off.

The red light indicates that WiiConnect24 is off (you aren't online). This typically happens when you unplug the Wii (as opposed to turning it off). You can also go into your settings to select whether or not the Wii should connect to the Internet in both standby and on modes.

My wii gets warm when it is powered down

This is because you have it in standby mode. You'll also notice the wii light is orange when off, this is standby mode. If it's off the light will be red. You goto connect24 to turn off standby.

Wii Power, Wii Goes Dead when I press Power or Eject Button or Remote Power Button. Is THIS AN INTERNAL DAMAGE

According to Nintendo u can try this. 1. push the reset button and if that doesn't work unplug all cords and memory cards (including sd) from wii and unplug av from the wii and the outlet in wall. Wait 2-3 min and then plug it back in. Thats as far as i got because that fixed my problem hope this helps someone!!!
