I have a 92 buick LeSabre and when I apply the break and don't apply gas right away it dies.

It sounds like when you hit your brakes your brake booster is using alot of vacuum so if you can turn the idle up a little bit that should help.I would raise your rpm's up say it idles at 700 rpm's now I would change it to about 900 rpm's. also make sure your vacuum line from the brake booster to the engine is sealed off good and has no holes in it.
