Code login for multiple users

How do I set up a system on the copier that requires all users to enter a personalized code before making copies or printing from their linked computer? I need to be able to do this so that I can keep a record of all copies made by each individual and charge them later.

Canon has released the Uniflow suite but it is a bit expensive for a small office with less than 5 computers
I would suggest you to create ID's for every user. Then form web interface create limitations for every one.
For network printing just activate the job accounting form the drivers properties

Scanning documents at the printer

1 Load the document into the scanner.
Note: Documents may be loaded into the scanner in multiple ways. For information on the different methods of loading documents into the scanner, see the User's Guide that came with the printer.
2 Touch Scan to Network. If prompted, enter the user name and password used to access the printer. Contact your system support person for login information.
3 Select the destination where you want to receive the scanned document. If prompted, enter the user name and password required to access the destination. Contact your system support person for login information.

Pin code reached the copy limit. How to re-set the copy limit for pin code?


The Auditron feature is used to prevent the machine from being used by unauthorized users and also to track the total number of copies or prints produced with each account. When the total number reaches the upper limit set up by machine administrator, users cannot use the copy feature on the machine. Before resetting the machine you will want to print a usage report. Those instructions are at the bottom of these instructions.
  1. Press the [Log In / Out] button on the Control Panel. See the Related Items below for additional information on navigating the Control Panel.
  2. Press the [Select] button below the Display Screen to select 'System Settings.'

  3. Use the numeric keypad on the Control Panel to enter the Administrator Login ID, then press the [Select] button to confirm.

    NOTE: The default System Administrator Login ID is set to 11111. The System Administrator mode allows you to customize many settings on the machine to suit your particular requirements. The machine enters the Machine Administrator mode only when a correct System Administrator login ID is entered.

  4. Press the [Select] button until 'Auditron Admin' is highlighted, and then press the [Enter] button on the Control Panel to confirm selection. The Auditron Administration screen will be displayed.
  5. Press the middle [Select] button until 'Reset Acc Limit' is highlighted, and then press the [Enter] button. The 'Reset Accounts' screen will be displayed.
  6. Press the left [Select] button to reset all accounts.
  7. Press the middle [Select] button to cancel the request.
  8. Press the left or middle [Select] button to perform the action. The Auditron Administration screen will be displayed.
  9. Press the [Exit] button to return to the default screen.

Secure my wireless internet


Well, there are two things that go into securing a router. First, a user name and password for logging in and second a security access key. Let me explain how to set up both of them:

Please retrieve these instructions in Notepad because you will be losing internet connection as you perform the steps.

1) First you need to log in to make changes to the router. The default IP address for that is 192.168.1.1. Type that into the address bar and press enter. You will be asked for login details. Here's the default login:
ID: (Leave blank)
Pass: admin (case sensitive)

2) Now you need to change those default login details to your personal ones.
Click on Administration tab -> You will see multiple dots in the password field -> Erase them and enter a personal password -> Scroll down and click save settings -> You will be asked to re login with the new password.
A strong password is the one with numbers, letters and different cases. Example: Cbr600RR

3) Next you need to secure your router's wireless internet connection with an access key. Most people use the WEP security. That however, is not the best option. Several programs are available online that can crack a WEP key. I will suggest a better option: WPA.
Click on Wireless Tab -> Change the Wireless Network Name (SSID) from "linksys" to a personal one. This is optional but recommended so that you can search for your internet connection faster if there are multiple available in your neighborhood (always the case in apartments).
Under Wireless Channel select 10 or 11. This helps keep your connection faster since most neighboring routers2_bing.gif will broadcast at the default channel 6 which leads to interference and disconnection. Click Save settings when you are done. The router takes some time to save those settings and restart itself.

4) Go to Wireless tab again -> Wireless Security -> Security Mode -> WEP -> Passphrase -> Enter a favorite word -> Generate -> Select any one of the four generated keys and copy it (Right click -> Copy). Note down this key for later use.
Go back to Security Mode -> WPA Personal -> WPA Shared Key -> Paste the copied key here -> Save settings. That will be your to connect to your router. Please note this down somewhere safe as you will need it to let other computers connect as well.

How do i install the program so I can scan to pc? We just received this printer in our office and want to use the scanner function. I have tired to manually enter address in and send, but it doesnt appear...


If it hasn't been done yet, you need to make sure that the information for your email server is correct.
Network User Guide - This is a PDF for the instructions on how to set up your copier. If you are not the IT person, you may want to get one involved to make sure you have the correct settings. You should be able to download this document by right clicking this link and click Save File / Download File (depending on your browser)
Also, make sure with the IT person that your email server does not block anonymous emails being sent out (SMTP) so that way the machine will not be denied sending emails. Your machine may need to have an user login to your network if the email system requires authentication.

Well, most of the copiers are having dept code features where u can set access code for the copier. But the setting is depends on the brand & model.

this should get you to the right area. I think you are asking to read the auditron accounts. This is the reset, which will allow you to see the copy count for all accounts set up.

Not able to access ebay with my user id


After chscking your login information, your User ID is not bigrose828. Go to the link below annd enter the email address you used to create the account and the system will send you your User ID and then you can enter your password.

For future reference, do not ever post your password on any site, even if you are requested to by anyone as this is now a security hole in your account and anyone who knows your information can login to your account and stel your personal information.

After you login to eBay, please go and change your password right away!!!!!!!!!

Copy limit


the only way is to goto additional functions > System Settings> dept I.D > set a user code and password, then you can set a copy limit per user id, once a copy limit is reached you have to reset it or create a new user I.D. Thats the only way, you can also get reports on how many copies each I.D has done..
