Hi, All you need to do is point the remote at your DVD player and hold both the number "1" and "enter" keys down for about 10 seconds. Evidently that re-sets the remote. It worked for me so good luck.

BDV E2100 LOCKED IN TV MODE

Once again a simple GOOGLE search, and the first thing on the list is the manual for this unit!

I suspect this is what you need.

Deactivating the Buttons on the Unit
(Child Lock)
You can deactivate the buttons on the unit
(except for on/off) for preventing misoperation, such as child mischief.
Hold down
(stop/square black button)
on the unit for more than 5 seconds."LOCKED" appears in the front panel display.
The child lock function is activated and the buttons on the unit are locked. (You can operate the system by using the remote control.)
To cancel, hold down
(stop/square black button)
for more than 5 seconds until "UNLOCK" appears in the front panel display.

If that's not the problem, here's the link for the manual.

My DvD PLayer Has that Msg Saying safe on it all the time i keep i unpluge it and its still say safe on it i took it apart to see if theres a dvd stuck in it but theres none i dont understand why does it...

Take a look at the online manual and look for the functions on your remote on page 43-45 and then check to see that you are the parent and not the child of a parent who set the parental controls and that you are 18 years of age or older, since persons less than 18 years of age are not permitted to use this site.

Please accept my apologies if you are a parent, and not a child as we have any number of persons who violate this rule, and we here at Fixya try to look out for such rather than defeat your interest in protecting your child.

If this solves your problem please rate.

If it does not solve your problem, leave a comment for further assistance.

I have a Portble DVD player. Everytime that I put in a disk i get the same message. No Disk. I have hooked it up to the battery pack and also to the TV and I get the same message. What can I do to correct...

Mine was doing this also. In messing around with it, I found that if you open the lid and push the lid button (make the player think the lid is closed) so it will spin the disc with the lid open, I could hold the disc and prevent it from spinning. The red laser kept refocusing, and then shook like crazy! After shaking for about a second, I let it go and poof!, it started working again. Maybe a fluke, but I think when it shook it realigned the laser. My 2yr old drop this thing alot and I figured it was miss-aligned. Hope it helps someone.
