Question about Kenmore Elite HE4 Electric Dryer

Your problem? you hold onto the top of the agitator stopping it from turning, and turn the "blades" at the bottom, does it make a ratcheting, clicky sound when you turn them opposite direction from each other with the machine off?

How do you put the belt back onto the drum of dryer with model number 110 62602101 Kenmore

What I do first is remove the filter and thos 2 phillips screws where the filter housing bolts to the top. Then with a putty knife I pop the top., so that I can remove the crews holding the front on. I raise up the front so the clips at the bottom don't get damaged. I remove the drum and clean out the dryer. I remove the filter hoising and clean it out with water. I vacuum the blower housing and motor. I oil the wheels and roller with HVAC high temp resistance slow disapating zoomoil ($2 at any ace hardware). I get a friend to help hold the drum up whileI connect the idler. I stick the idler in the floor with the weel facing left. I loop the belt through the idler and onto the motor. I give it a few slow turns to make sure it is not twisted. The ribbed side needs to be against the tub not the slick side by the way. I have photos and more HERE

It leaves soap on the clothes after it goes thru the cycle and I noticed that the top part of the agitator doesn't move hardly. The washers model # is LSR8233JQO and the serial # is CK4729250, Type 111.

The agitator dogs (part # 80040) that grip and turn the top agitator to push the clothes into the bottom agitator during the wash cycle are worn and must be replaced. It costs about $5 and replacing it is an easy task to do.

Disconnect the power to the washer. Open the lid and remove the agitator cap by prying it with a flat-bladed screwdriver off the agitator top. Remove the 7/16 inch stud and seal holding the agitator to the shaft using a socket wrench with extension.

Lift the agitator off the shaft and pull the top agitator off the bottom agitator. Remove the cam that holds the agitator dogs from the top agitator.

Lay the cam upside down and install the agitator dogs on the slots. Hold the cam with the newly installed agitator dogs on one hand and the top agitator upside down on the other. Slide the cam up into the top agitator and turn the assembly in the upright position.

Align the cam and bottom agitator tabs and cut-outs and place the top agitator with the cam over the bottom agitator. Place the agitator assembly on the shaft and rotate it until the grooves match. Push the agitator down and reinstall the stud and seal. Do not over tighten the stud or the agitator will not spin properly.

TRYING TO REMOVE FRONT Drum won't turn swallowed sock thru lint trap

The sock is binding in the blower wheel which in turn stops the motor.
Unplug the dryer and turn off the gas supply. Look down at the very bottom of the front panel to find and remove the 2/3 screws across the bottom. Pull the bottom of the front panel out then down to release the clips holding it to the top cover. This will give to access to the other parts to retrieve your sock.

Clothes get stuck between drum and opening, come out with "burn marks"

There should be a felt type seal on the drum in that opening to prevent this. It could be that it fell off or wore out. It is a hassle to put on unless you have good access but not difficult with a bit of patience.

How do you remove the agiatator on a kenmore elite top loading washer

The agitator on a Kenmore top loader can easily be removed by performing the following steps:

1. Remove the agitator center cap (or fabric softener dispener) by either pulling straight up or gently placing a flat blade screwdriver into a slot located in the cap.

2. If the agitator is equipped with an inner cap with a handle, remove this as well by pulling straight up.

3. Remove the center bolt of the agitator. You will have either a 7/16” hex bolt or a recessed square plastic nut. If you have the square recessed type, use a 3/8” to ½” ratchet adapter to remove.

4. Remove the agitator by grasping the bottom flange and carefully pulling straight up. Try to keep all the parts assembled while doing this, so do not pull too hard. This will make reassembly much easier.

If you have questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

I have a Whirlpool Front load dryer. The motor comes on and the drum turns once and stops. If I manually turn the drum forward just a little bit it will do the same rotation and stop.

If the drum is kinda hard to turn then you may need to get inside the dryer and yank out the filter first.Remove the 2 screws in the filter housing on top. Then use a putty knife to pop the top. Remove the screws holding the front panel on. VERY IMPORTANT! Raise the front up an inch before pulling forward or the panel clips will break! Some models have a panel on bottom. If they do then this panel must come off first. Then you remove the door springs and back off the screws holding down the bottom of the door panel. Then pop the top and remove the screws on top to get the panel out of your way. Get the drum out and check the wheels and idler assembly. Some of newer dryers have a crappy sliding type idler. I replace that with a generic on with a wheel. I use high temp resistant zoomoil from the hardware store($2). You can also oil the motor if it is stiff but you will have carefull make some oil ports. The manufacturer does not provide any. Zoomoil works well in these motors. hey it might save you a few bucks. It is worth a shot.

I dropped a AA battery down my lint fliter trap of my dryer

dontythink youll have to worry about exploding, it will however get caught in the blower and either break the fins off fan or prevent blower from turning, if you "pop" the top on the unit by releasing two tabs holding main top down approx 6 inches in from either side of unit just below the main top(using a putty knife). the topo will flip back andfrom there youll be able to see the 2 screws holding the fronbt[anel onto thte unit itself, the front panle then releases giving you acces to the blower assy... UNPLUG?DISCONNECT POWER LIVE WIRES!!!!!!!!!
