Question about Primavera SureTrak Project Manager 3.0 for PC

Printing problems When I print, I get an error message and SureTrak closes. This only happens with some files. one it starts on a particular file, it will never print that file again. It does this on any printer I choose

    Thanks! I save it to a shorter name and it worked! BTW, it was not on a network drive. I had it stored on my c: drive but it had a very long name

Had a similar problem with printing from a file saved on a network drive. Apparently the file name was too long. Moving a copy of the file to the local drive (such as a folder on the desktop) allowed printing. I believe I am also functioning without the Suretrak 3.0a or 3.0b software patches which may correct the problem (see Primavera's website for patch b). Since it is only on certain files, I would think it is due to too long of a path to the filename.

Suretrak 3.0b: invalid path or file name when I try to save file as something else


The error message about invalid path is referring to a missing logo file. In the footer, or header, set Logo to None, or find the missing .bmp file and place it in your default SureTrak Clipart folder and re-browse to its location.

go to the security up dates web site and update the updates it shald fix part of the problem as well you mite have to close the old file as it mite not have done that

21 print overrun what does this mean when this comes up as problem?


This prompt comes when the printing documents are too complex. At this time press continue it may start the printing and to remove the problem for future follow the steps as bellow. Click Start-Settings-Printers . Highlight the HP LaserJet 4 icon. Choose File and verify there is a check by Set as Default-Choose Properties-select Device Options and verify the memory setting shown here is the same as what the printer has installed. Select the page protection option and then choose OK . Close out of the Printers folder and try printing again.

After clicking print to PDF a schedule, Suretrak shows error message that says Suretrak Application Manager has encountered an error and needs to close. No other info.


I would try reinstalling the software. Sounds like a file got corrupted. If that does not fix it:

Have installed the latest patches for SureTrack?
Have you updated Windows?

If so, did the problem start after one of the updates?

Dell 5310n: error message is 900.00 service RIP software A few of my users were having trouble with a Dell 5310n printer. The error message on the display was error message is 900.00 service RIP software. When printing large data files, such as a PowerPoint presentation, the printer would error out.

Per Dell's recommendation I configured the virtual printer to not spool the print jobs and send them directly to the printer. This seems to have corrected the issue so far.

Since I have HP printers on the same print server and none of them have had any kind of issue printing the same large files, I starting to think that the problem is due to either bad printer hardware or print drivers from Dell.

To all that run into this problem like I have, here is the solution:

To install Suretrak 3.0 if you get “unable to find serial#” error:

  1. Temporarily Stop the Pervasive Sql Server Workgroup engine
  2. Install Suretrak
  3. After installation, copy wbtrcall.dll and wbtrv32.dll from the c:\pvsw\bin folder and paste to c:\windows\system and c:\windows\system32
Restart computer; all should be working now

Job Status Window Interface has stopped working.


The issue usually occurs if you are using windows xp drivers on a vista machine. It's strange that the error does not come up when printing from internet explorer 7.0.

There is a file on support.dell.com that you can run to remove any xp drivers and then run the vista installation file. that should take care of these error messages from the operating system.

My hp laserjet 4 plus printer cannot print excel files


wherer are you printing this, A4 is european, north america would use letter, etc..
if you go to control panel, open the printers and faxes folder, right click the printer in question, a window will pop up, click on properties.. a new window should open. click on "Printing Defaults" or "Printing Preferences" then click on "Advanced" ( I believe it should be to the lower left) that will open another window, in paper size make it Letter if your in N America, A4 for Euro.. this will set the deafult print..
Click ok, then print a test page from the general tab..

The reason you getting this LOAD LETTER message. your excel page setup is set to print to letter, your machine is set to print top A4

If you open Excel then go to Print then a window should pop up where you select the printer you want to use, click on Properties, then Lay out, then Advanced, and input the correct paper size before you print.

does this happen with all excels files, or one particular?
Create a new Excel file, and try printing it.. possibly could be in that particular file. I have seen this happen alott particulary with PDF files.. Where the incorrect paper size is in the file..
