Thanks a lot! it's the right solution i was expecting; i am amazed that my problem is solved in the best way it can be, and also rapidly. I am grate full to the best help that one can have here through Fixya webservice; I never thought before that one can have our own problem fixed that way. i am upset with all these many forums you find in the web, where everyone is writing for writing and you never know where to go, since the answers are often contradicting and do not lead to the right answer on how to solve your problem.

As for me, i was aware of the existence of Fixya when i read the success story of Fixya through Jpost .There i read what Bensadon, the founder of Fixya, told to the reporter '"Fixya helps solve service provider pain in the market today. When you need help and call technical support, you often get put on hold forever and then end up speaking to a representative in India who has no real knowledge about how to help you,"

I can tell, stop waiting your time posting your problem through these many other websites, but come and see what you can get through professional help by Fixya. Fixya is the right solution to fix your problem the best way it can be.

A great thanks to specialist mailtoravi, you are the best!

The cooling fan on my laptop runs constantly from the time it is turned on to shut down. It does adjust speed from time to time but never stops. It doesn't have to be working hard either. Just viewing the internet will do it.

I found the Service Manual of the Notebook which contains the procedure about how to remove each and every component of your Notebook and below is the link to access the same :
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00700932.pdf

Best way is to copy the entire link and paste it in the address bar of a new web browser and press enter to open the link.
Hope this is helpful...

or to rework panel guts.
say what you want to do exactly
but is all really silly,
the HP.COM books tell you all this,
ever look on your DV5000 page, seems no to me
or youd not be here.

what is a DV5000, seems you typed it wrong
then cant get help , hp shows.
ahhhhh ,, HP5-1000 right?

then at HP.com
you go to users guides and read.

then click service and maintenance guide, large book ,free?

My hp dv6449us laptop powers up and shuts down immediately how to fix please

Your laptop is getting HOT because the cooling fan may not be cooling the processor. All it takes is about 15 seconds to overheat the processor. Need to get it serviced.

Hi. I have a HP laptop for about 3 months and now it gives me the message " a cooling factor is not working properly" , and it shuts down 15 minutes later. what should I do? Should I go to the...

The laptop should be covered since it is only three months old. That's the good news. The less than good news, is that you may have to wait a while before you get your computer back.

I don't have the laptop in front of me, so naturally I can't diagnose the problem directly.
I would hazard an intelligent guess that the Cooling Fan inside the laptop has failed.

Components inside a computer are normally cooled by air. (High tech gamer computers may use a different type of cooling system. They may use water, or a refrigerant of some sort. { Dry Ice, Nitrogen, Freon, etc)

Two main computer components generate the most heat.
The Processor, and the graphics chipset. (Video chip, Same/same)

The Processor is the 'Brain' of the computer. It's designed to operate up to a maximum temperature, (Thermal Limit), and no higher, or damage to the Processor will result.

There is a Fail Safe feature built-in to turn the Processor off, if it becomes too hot.
(BIOS turns the Processor off)

With no cooling fan operating the Processor will overheat.

You didn't indicate what model name, and model number your HP laptop is.
This is to just show you what an average cooling fan looks like in an HP laptop,
(HP DV6 series ), and what is entailed in order to access it,

http://www.insidemylaptop.com/disassemble-hp-pavilion-dv6-laptop/

Scrolling down to Step 24, and 25 shows the top view of the cooling fan.
Step 29 shows the bottom view.

Would appreciate hearing the outcome, please reply in a Comment.

How do i access the processor fan for hp pavilion dv5000 because it gets extremely hot in the top right corner, then shuts down. and the fan only runs for like 2 minutes every 30 minutes

Power drain would be a better solution in this case.
1.first shut down the comp
2.unplug the charger
3. remove the battery
and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery. After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer .

AND

With the ear bud clean the vents of the fan and check whether it is happening again. And if it is happening again do the bios update of the computer from the hp.com website and check.

Battery with HP Pavillion DV5000 won't work. Do I need to replace the battery or is there a battery charger I could use to recharge the battery? Dianne

You can order a power cable online or pick one up at your local computer store. They should run between $80-150. The battery itself is very expensive to purchase but is rechargeable.
