Maybe trapped water in the dryer. Switch off and remove power from wall. Remove condenser unit from the dryer (clean the condenser while you have the chance with plenty of water and an old toothbrush - it will probably be filthy). With the condenser unit removed stick an old tea towel in the hole where the condenser was and then tip the dryer on its side. If there is water it will either run onto the tea towel or onto your kitchen floor OR into the water container!

It worked for me, honest...

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail(meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) thatmight need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can tripout or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehaveprograms that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcodeshowing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also bethe fault.

SHOULD THERE BE WATER COLLECTING IN THE BACK OF MY CONDENSER TUMBLE DRYER?

Without make and model details it is all guesswork, but my guess is No!

Usually there is an outlet drain that pumps water into the drain for the washing machine, or it has a container you empty.

Google

make model manual

Have a high water light comming on how do I get rid of it?

I assume you're talking about a condenser tumble dryer (or you are in a flood area ;-)

If it's a tumble dryer, then you need to empty the water catchment reservoir. Open the dryer door and there's usually a pull out plastic container at the bottom of the machine.

Hi.

You have clogged waterways for condensed water.
You have to clean this.

Hoover six tumble dryer runs for about 15 minutes then trips the electrics, condenser has been cleaned and water container is always emptied

usual cause is water being thrown by the fan onto the heater. after this has happened, remove cover over heater and see if water is present.
the water is there because the water path from condensor box to pump housing is blocked with lint

My indesit is70c tumble dryer isnt working correctly. The light which tells you to empty the water is staying on the water draw isn't filling up with water and it does not get any heat. ( I Know I Am Blond...

problem is probably the pump that sends water up to the container. take small panel off back and pump and water container is exposed. power the pump independently and see if it works

Bosch tumble dryer

I've sorted mine this morning. First, disconnect from the mains - VERY important! Pull out the metal condenser unit at the bottom, and behind it, there's a small hatch in the bottom to the reservoir. This can get gunked up with water, and is very difficult to clean - HOWEVER - I've found a really easy way of cleaning it. I've got a VAX carpet washer with a hose attachment, and I simply sucked all the water out using that. If you don't own a carpet cleaner maybe borrow one. I did this this morning, and my tumble-dryer's still running happily after an hour! It is possible to clean it out without vacuum, but it takes a LOT longer, and the vacuum of the cleaner pulls out gunk that is hard to access. Another place where gunk collects is behind that hatch right at the back - there's a tube up to the right. I pulled out quite a long chunk of lint. However, that wasn't the solution on it's own, I still had to clean out the reservoir as above.

Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer aquarius cdt00- wont dry

I am not familiar with this particular unit, but I have a condensing dryer (Malber) which pumps out the water by itself. I am guessing that your unit requires you to empty a bin manually. Even if the bin is empty, I think the unit thinks it needs to be emptied and that is why the dryer will not work to give you hot air. If you do have such a bin, it might have a weight switch which the unit uses to detect if the bin needs emptying. See if the weight switch is working. The same weight switch idea is used on dehumidifiers.
