Error 002 is an cpu exception fault caused by a defective controllerboard (CU board)
When replacing this board remember to replace the eeprom on the controller from the old board to the new one.

Replacement drivers for the Phaser 7500

The print drive for this printer is horrible, and causes functunal print issues. The best and simplest work around for this is to not use the phaser 7500 driver. Answer coming next . . . Use the Okidata C9500 print driver. It works perfectly for the Phaser 7500. Now you know how to make it print properly

My OKidata c9500 makes a loud clicking sound when I try to print. Like a drum turning and maybe the contact is not

Similar problem in other Oki's

It's not a drum, I would check the ITB Belt. Known for binding failure.

Okidata didn't spend a whole lot of money/quality plastic/nylon bushings and parts associated with the drive roller and other associated part for their ITB Belt assembly.

I hope this helps,,,Steve

Printer error fuser temp

Hi,

This is a common error especially if you have power surges or outages, before calling in follow the following steps:

  1. Press Down Arrow
  2. Press *
  3. press #
  4. select SOS1
  5. switch the first digit from a 0 to a 1
  6. press OK
  7. Press the Red Stop button
Now you need to clear the error
  1. press the down arrow
  2. Press #
  3. press the letter T ( on the keyboard of the printer)
It should reboot itself although it may not, if it doesn't then turn off the switch then back on. you should see some black bars flashing on teh screen. This clears the error and wil help determine if the fuser is actually broken. Before you print and start using it you have to set it back to operational mode by doing the following steps

  1. Press the Down Arrow
  2. Press *
  3. Press #
  4. select "SOS1"
  5. Change first digit from 1 back to 0
  6. press OK
  7. Press the red stop button
Those are the steps required to clear the fuser temp error from the okidata support desk

Power on then off, then unplug the unit for a few minutes. Then try it.
If this does not work post back.

Okidata c9500 paper jams between

If you are getting jams in the fuser or right after it the fuser is probly bad. I think there is a mylar upgrade that attaches to the toner sensor arms under the top cover(not an easy fix). It is also possible the drum unit or the toner cartridge could be bad.
