Question about AEG Refrigerators
As rwsummers correctly points out replace this part as from uk i bought it from maplins £3.31 part no N74CN 1UF 275V de-solder the two points on rear of pcb and re-solder new part in place and reassemble turn on power and "voila" works like new. Thanks.

I guess this is a problem with many Santo models that use a similar circuit board. Change the 1 uf 250v capacitor as in the article http://www.elisanet.fi/mtj/santo/AEG-Santo-fix.html
A 400v working would be a better bet if you can source one. I had to use another 250v one as I have not been able to source a 440v in the Uk. I guess someone somewhere has one in stock. RS stock a 440v but you have to buy 25 at around £18 inc. postage. I only want one!!!
