Well if you have two horns sticking out on the dish it means that those are your different angles 91 and 82 degrees I think thats right anyways those two cables should go into a box that splits the signal into one and then one cable from that would go from the box to your receiver.

if you are wanting you can also just hook up the 91 its the most used but you probably will be missing a few channels until it is set up properly.

if you only have one horn and two cables coming out of it it just means that you have the setup to run two receivers off that dish.

if you need more info please describe your setup a bit more for me.

Thanks hope this helped

How do I set the T.V.? I have Dish Network. A message comes up stating "No Signal".

You need to have the input on the TV set to what ever the "Dish" cable uses. If the dish box uses HDMI then find which HDMI port it is plugged into on the TV and set the input to that.

The problem is not clear, if the Pansat is stuck after updating, or you get no channels , then repeat the updating again.
Check all cables and antenna dish.

I disconnected power from the tv to install carpet & im not sure if iam hooking it back up correctly

danny_burse

I am assuming when you say you disconnected power from the TV to install carpet, you disconnected the cables from the receiver to your TV. Depending upon your installation, you have a cable that comes from the dish located outside that is connected to a splitter and has 2 cables coming off the splitter. The 2 cables will connect to SAT 1 and SAT 2 on the back of the receiver. Your TV 2 connection either goes directly to your TV 2 or goes to a second separator, connected to the UHF/VHF connector. If you still have problems with the connections, please email me at ray.calo@dishnetwork.com and I will assist you further.

Hey my nameis Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see there is a problem with the Sony hometheater system connecting with the DISH receiver. To get the full surroundsound you want there are two different options you can use, the first is to usethe HDMI and connect the RCA cable or you can use the Optical cable for sound. If you have any questions or concerns please e-mail me back; michael.houston@dishnetwork.com.

Dish dvr reception keeps cutting out

Hi mikej10x! I will be more than glad to assist you in this concern. You mean, intermittent signal? If that is the concern mikej10x, lets isolate the problem, 1st check the sat in 1 and sat in2 if the cable is connected tight, as well as the separator, diplexers, all device that is connected to the line of sat in, then press the power button on the front panel of the receiver for 10secs, receiver will turn off and then turn on by itself, then attention 015 will pop up on the screen, then press the menu button right away once you see the attention 015, then main menu will show on the screen and once main menu is up, press 6,1,1 on the remote control and it will go to the point dish screen, select check switch on the upper right and it will go to installation summary screen, select test on the bottom of the screen and it will run a test up to 2 of 2 or depends on the sat you have, once its done it will show the installation summary, sat input 1 & 2, port1-119-ok, port2-110-ok, once you see that all sat is ok, select done and it will go to point dish, select done again and then cancel all the way out and it will pop up attention 015, let the progress finish until it download the programming guide. the picture will show. observe if problem still exist. if the problem still exist, call 1-800-333-3474 ask for tech support and once you talk to a live agent, ask for a service call, there is a problem on you sat dish system, it could be the lnbf, switch, or the separator or cable connection. or it needs to re aligned the dish.. but before you call, check first if there is no trees or leave blocking on the dish to the southern sky, no obstruction.. please feel free to get in touch if you have any query.

The TV loses the signal from the dish reciever. I've checked all connections. I have to turn the TV off and then back on to fix it.

since you have a dish reciever you could try connecting the dish box to the television with the AV cables.. (yellow, white and red cables) to the television. once that is done press the source button on the remote until it displays composite then you will have the picture from the sat box. Try it like this to see if it still loosing the signal..

Also you could try is turn off the sat box then back on and see if that fixes that problem if it does could be something wrong with the sat box.. also test a dvd player to see how that reacts.. if that plays good and you connect the sat box on that same connection then the sat box could be having some issues.

Set Up for DVR

Hello: If you have only one incoming cable, just hook it up on SAT 1. What happens is that you will only be able to record what you're watching. If you want two incoming cables, just change the LNB to a dual LNB if you have a round dish. If you have an oval dish, most likely has a multiswitch LNB, so all you need to do is hook up another cable to that LNB and run it to the receiver and put it on SAT 2.
This way, you can watch one program and record another program on a dif. channel at the same time. Either way, you need to take out the LNB from the dish for one or the other option. It's best to contact your service provider and get a tech, to do the changes. It's not costly.

Originally used pre made "F" connector to "F" connector cables from B and Q.

Have changed above cables to the thicker black ones - same size as comes of sat dish.

This solved the problem - suspect attenuation problem by using inferior cables.
