Go to the control panel. Press the system button. Select device manager. Look at the Univeral Serial Bus controller at the bottom of the page and make sure there are no red "x" in there. If there are, you may need to add a usb driver from your computer. If that doesn't work, replace the USB card in your computer if your are working on a desktop workstation.

I have a 2GB Kingston USB, and never detected when i insert to the USB port, my problem is, how can I reformat the USB? I hope you can help me to solve this problem. thanks and more power.

Have you tried the other USB ports? If none works, try also a different USB device to the computer. It may be that the USB drive you have is the one defective. If another device isnt detected as well, try updating your chipset driver, and also reset your BIOS to default. If none would work, possible motherboard replacement will resolve the issue.

Hi,

Please take the Hard disc to a technician for a soldering repair job.

It happens in many cases, that after brutally unplugging the drive the connector connecting the drive to the board of the hard drive gets loose... or the connections break which does not let the hard disc being detected.

A repair job will fix the issue for you for sure.

Pen drive is not detecting

Hi,
1. Connect your pen drive to some other USB ports present at the rear side of your desktop pc.
2. In case of laptop, try connecting to some other available usb ports and check
3. In still not detected, then test your pen drive in some other systems.
4. If still not working, then it implies that your pen drive got detects.
5. If your pen drive is original kingston then you can claim the warranty from the place where you got it.

I hope this information is helpful for you
Thanks

The usb do not work at all. ibm t42 23731WU many thanks !

If none of the usb ports are recognizing anything you hook up to them then that means the motherboard is bad. Easiest way to know, hook up a usb mouse or usb keyboard, those it should detect and install.

If it can't do that then you know for sure the motherboard is bad. If it does detect the keyboard and mouse then you know its the other devices that your hooking up that are faulty.

Wireless card suddenly cannot detect any signals

I would suspect ya adapter.. the ONLY way to sort it is to try it in another PC see if it works.. USB devices seem to be very flimsy and we get heaps of 'em in the shop.. 9 times outa 10 it's the USB device gone weird.. substitution is the only way to isolate the problem.

USB Ports

I would go back to device manager and uninstall all drivers in the USB category. Reboot and Windows will re-detect all the USB ports, this should work. If it was an electronic problem then some ports would work and other wouldn't but not all since there is multiple USB controllers in most computers these days.

All sansas

Update your USB drivers?

You could try putting the Sansa's in MSC mode.
Depending on your Firmware there will be a USB option under settings (Under USB it might be on Auto just select MSC)
OR you will need to
1)have the player on (but not plugged in)
2)push the HOLD switch tot he right (towards the REC button [see orange in the hold slot]
3)HOLD DOWN the |<< rewind button (keep this held down)
4)plug the cable into the Sansa (assuming the other end is in the USB port)
Wait till you hear it detect it..

If it still does not..

CHECK the Device Manager to SEE if their are any unknown devices under USB unplug the Sansa
Delete the unknown and try steps 1 thru 4 again.
If you do not know how to get to Device Manager then you will need the help of someone who knows these types of things to show you or look this up on the internet.
