Hi, i believe the 5300 printer comes with 2 disks. the other one is specifically designed for WINDOWS OS and the other one for MACS. check if you are using the correct disk. if it still gives you the same issue then try downloading from the website so you can be sure that it will work plus it is the lates version of the software too! ive included the link below:

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn033540.jhtml?pq-path=9106

if this still fails, you might consider calling kodak tech support at 800.421.6699

Time machine on MAC 10.5.8 will not open; error message -43

Hello,
error -43 fnfErr: File not found
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214

Then Repair Disk on the external drive.
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

If TM display doesn't even show up, see this...

I am trying to down load my new program off of a dvd. I am stuck. How do you do it

If your computer doesn't open the setup file automatically when the DVD is inserted, you can always insert the DVD, open My Computer (Windows)/ Finder (Mac), find the disk or disk drive, click it and open the contents of the DVD, find the setup/install file and manually run it.
Hopefully this helps and if there is another error please post it.

My freestyle player says format error how to fix?? it was working fine and then this error.

Hello there,

Q.: My player is having a DRM error / Format Error / Empty Disk Error
what do I do?
A: For all 3 errors, the first step is to attempt to reset the player, this can be accomplished by pressing the play and menu
buttons down together for approximately five seconds. If reset does nothing, make sure all the songs are .mp3s, if all songs
are .mp3s, attempt to format and re-sync the player.

if you need it

How do I convert my iTunes into MP3 format?
A: See Music Conversion Instruction Document: Transferring and Playing Music on Freestyle Audio mp3 players with
iTunes.

if you need to format the player here is how for MAC and windows.

Q.: What's Reformatting, How do I format my Player?
A: Reformatting your player basically wipes you player clean and deletes all songs, leaving you with a blank slate. Like
most removable drives you can reformat your player with no worries of damage to the unit. When reformatting on a Mac
make sure you choose the MS-DOS format style.
(CAUTION: FORMATTING WILL ERASE EVERTHING ON THE DRIVE)
PC (Windows NT, 9x, XP and Vista):
1. Plug in the Mp3 Player.
2. Put the Player in removable drive mode. Under "My Computer" you should
see the player as a removable drive.
3. Right click on the "removable drive" and a Drop down menu should appear.
4. In the menu select the option "format..."
5. Make sure that "FAT" is selected as the file system and that Allocation
Unit size is set to "Default Allocation Unit Size"
6. Now click format and wait, after it says format complete, you're done.
MAC OS 9 (and Earlier):
1. Plug the player in.
2. Put the player in removable drive mode.
3. Single-click the disk's icon on your desktop to format.
4. Pull down the "Special" menu from the top of the screen and select "Erase
Disk..."
5. Enter whatever name you want in the "Name:" field in the window that pops
up. If the disk is a hard drive, select "Mac OS Extended" from the
"Format:" pull down. If the disk is not a hard drive (such as a Zip Disk
or other removable media), select "MS-DOS or MAC OS Standard" for the
format.
6. Press "Erase." The drive will be formatted and ready to use.
MAC OS X (and later):
1. Start your computer and plug in the player in the USB port after the Mac
OS has completed loading.
2. Put the Player in removable drive mode.
3. An icon for a removable drive should appear for the flash drive on the
desktop.
4. From the Dock, open "Disk Utility".
5. Click "Erase" from the top selector (next to "First Aid")
6. Choose "MS DOS File System (FAT16)"
7. Click the "Erase" button
8. Perform the instructions given on the screen and finish the formatting.

if you need any help with a Step let me know and i hope this information was helpful don't forget to Rate .

I got this imac desktop computer model # m6498 from my aunt. when i turn it on it shows a spinning loading wheel and i cant get pass that page...How do I fix this?

Luck you, hopefully we can get this fixed! Ok, there are a few things that might be causing this, and several ways of dealing with them.
Firstly, if you're not fussed about saving the data already on the computer, try the following:
  1. Turn the Mac on and insert the restoration disk that came with it (If you don't have one then you'll need to get one, try ebay or amazon, or an Apple store).
  2. Turn the Mac off with the disk still in
  3. Re-boot it, holding down the C key. This will boot up from the CD, and hopefully you'll be able to re-install Mac OS X, which will give you a working, clean machine.
If that doesn't work for any reason, I'll need some more information. Try this:
  1. Turn the Mac off, after ejecting any CDs.
  2. Boot up your Mac, and as soon as you press the power switch, hold down Command and V. This boots up in verbose mode, giving you more information about what's happening in the computer.
  3. Watch the instructions on the screen, and see if there are any obvious error codes, or if there are any instructions that the computer gets 'stuck' on.
If there are any error codes or sticky instructions, please post them back up here and I'll see if I can help some more.
Hope that was helpful, good luck!

I have a MAc Book Pro notebook (13inch;2009 edition) which slows down during bootup, also gives serious error while trying to install win 7 with bootcamp. need solution!

Load gray disc 1 and then shut down computer. Power back up and press option key. Select the start up disc and press enter or the right icon arrow key. Wait for the thing to load. Then at the top select the Disk Utility and then select your hard drive at the left panel. Then select the button that says repair disk permissions. Then select the button that says repair disk. After that restart the computer using the hard drive and not the disk.

Next step is this tedious process is shut down computer. Now press power button and immediately press at the same time the option key, and the apple icon key next to it, and the letter P and the letter R. Now wait until you hear 3 bong sounds from the speakers and then you can let go.

Next step is to select system preferences, select accounts, select your account, select login in items and select everything in the box. Now press the - icon to remove them. Don't stress your not removing the actual programs. Your just telling the laptop not to load them upon startup.

Next step, you need to go into disk utilities and partition the hard drive into 2 sections. 1 section will load Mac OS X and the other section will load Windows 7.

Finally, you should remove your RAM and re-seat them as sometimes that causes long startups. Also, check the about my mac to make sure both RAM chips are recognized and working. Also, upgrade to the max RAM allowable to speed up startup times and upgrade to 7200 RPM hard drive instead of your 5400 RPM.

Hope this helps you. Cheers old chap.

Mac ibook wont boot past biue screen .keep running

Try holding down ALT while booting up and select Macintosh HD. If that doesn't work try inserting your mac osx install CD or DVD restart hold down ALT. Select the CD using the arrow keys after the CD has loaded go up to the drop down menus and go to disk utility, then click on your main boot disk (macintosh HD) and under the First AID tab (if your using osx) click verify permissions and restore permissions, then click verify disk and repair disk. Try to boot up. If this doesn't work restart leaving work mac osx CD in hold down D then follow the disk checker steps. This will tell you if there are any errors on your disk (hard drive). If there are you need to get it fixed or replaced.
