I hav vista and am running Firefox browser. Firefiox reports that it has a problem and crashed. It sas that it will try and restore tabs and windows when it restarts. I keep getting the same error report when restarting from a cold boot. I have sent an error report off to Mozilla.

anyone experienced the same problem. I just want to get my bookmarks file saved before I delete firefox and reinstall. Anyone know where this is located on Vista.

    Thanks

I have had the same problem with Firefox and also remembering my login information in Vista. The XP operating system is fine the problem is only with Microsoft's Vista operating system. It could have something to do with Vista's security setup, either that or Microsoft is just kicking the competition around? Actually it's probably a little bit of both those reasons.

The only way I have been able to correct the problem is to download the IE Tab add-on. It allows you to set up a tab to open with the IE engine embedded. If you have a site that is giving you login problems, when it is open select the tools button. In the dropdown box select the IE Tab Options. The problem web site should be highlighted in the pop-up display box. Select the add button to the right and it will transfer the web site to the list of sites that you want to open with the IE operating engine.

Now that web site will always open under the IE operating engine when you start up Firefox. After you login to that web site if you go back to the tools button and select options again, you can save all opened tabs as your home page. Now when you start up Firefox you will still have all the advantages of Firefox and those hard to login web sites will automatically load and sign you in the same as they did before.

Someday Microsoft will probably stop teasing Firefox and let them in on what they have to do to get around this obstacle, but then again maybe not.

Facebook site is blocked by my nephew in my comp,, how can i fix this?

this is where you are going to do. On website http://mwolk.com, you can find 100's of web proxies to unblock Facebook and other such sites like myspace and youtube.

How to unblock Facebook
You just need to find web proxies which support facebook (check below link of ours to get the list of such proxies). Though please note that many such proxies may not support facebook (proxies have smaller life as the get blocked fast), still even if 50% sites are working, I think that's good enough.

Problem with Windows Vista and Facebook?

I'm not suggesting you use Firefox, but download it to see if it works ok on a different browser. If it does, then IE is broken or there is some setting needs changed.

How do i unblock social websites like facebook and

Try alternative browser such as Mozilla Firefox and Opera

The easiest way to try if it’s possible bypass blocking of MySpace is to use an alternative web browser such as Mozilla Firefox and Opera. This hack will work if system administrators apply the contents URL filtering and blocking via Internet Explorer settings of Group Policy, which works only on Internet Explorer browsers. Thus, Firefox and Opera are not affected by the restrictions that applied via Group Policy and the access to MySpace or other blocked sites are granted. I can connect to the interent and see any page until i go to log onto a page like facebook, myspace, or other sites that requires being logged into. but if i do a system restore to an earlier date it works...

You are probably using Internet Explorer. I think maybe your security settings are set too tight.
Go to Tools>Internet Options>security and either set the security to default or lower them a little.
As an alternative, download Firefox and try logging on to those sites with that. You can get a copy of Firefox at www.mozilla.com

Some sites will not work

If your friend is with the same Internet service provider, then sounds like your ISP is having problems with thier DNS servers. These are the servers that translate what website your looking for.

If this is the case, then I'm afraid there is nothing you can do until they fix it

Using Vista Home Premium on Firefox, goes off line at times

Are you on a wireless connection or a wired connection? If you are on wireless, try changing the channel on your wireless router. You may be getting interference from another source/network.

If its a wired connection they try right clicking the connection and choosing "repair." This will correct several basic network problems. If that doesn't fix it, post back and further troubleshooting will be required.

Vista connection problems

With internet explorer/firefox connectivity issues.. More than likely, you\'re having virus and/or spyware related issues. Go to download.com and download adaware and spybot and run full system scans and see where that takes. I\'d stay away from **** sites too :) lol
