Garmin c330 unit will not stay on. I have tried the reset button under the face template but that does not work. Comes on for a second and then goes black.

Same problem: Stays on for a few seconds then goes black. I've only had the unit 3 months.
Won't recharge. Nothing wrong with power outlets.

Same problem and the company had to replace the battery and then no problem anymore. I guess maybe they had a bad batch or something. Good luck and make sure you get a free one dont' let them try to charge you.

You need to replace the rechargeable battery. I am looking for one now, as I have the same problem. you nee a 3.7V 1.8Ah Lithium Ion RECHARGEABLE battery, it is 65mm long and 18mm in dia. I'm not having much luck and Garmin want $150.00 for this repair, IF YOU ARE OUT OF WARRANTY.

Display image has shifted, difficult to use

ok, first you will have to unplug the power and usb cables to remove external power. Secondly, place your thumbnail in the groove located under the Garmin logo on the face plate and gently pull off the face plate. Next, press the reset button for three seconds. Finally, connect the c330 to a power source using the power cable. the c330 should automatically turn back on and operate normally.

Please rate my response and have a wonderful nite.

You will need to reset the device.
1. On the silver faceplat, under the word "Garmin", there is a tab. Remove the silver-ish fram carefully by pulling on the tab with your nail then by the sides.
2. once removed, press the reset button.
3. Once reset, the unit should work properly.

Hello, I have had 7 Garmin units and 4 of them where streetpilots like yours.
You can try a reset of the unit. This will restore the unit and you might loose any favorites etc that you have stored. Here's how you do a reset.
"With the unit off, place your thumbnail in the groove located under the Garmin logo on the face plate, gently pull off the face place. Press the reset button and turn the unit back on."
Try this and see how the unit works. If it still gives you the same problem then your unit needs repair. I have sent in at least 2 units to Garmin for repair in the last 2 years.
Thanks

Will not stay on

Connect the Garmin using the USB cable to your computer. Turn on your computer and let it boot up. Now turn on the Garmin. Does it stay on? If the answer is yes then the battery is dead. If the answer is no then you have something internally wrong with the Garmin. If the unit is still under warranty then get a RMA and send it back to Garmin.

Did you try to reset the unit? Place you thumbnail in the groove located under the Garmin logo on the face plate. Gently pull off the face plate. Press the reset button. Turn the unit back on and see if it works - Of course replace the face plate carefully. Good luck! Dr. Know
