I install a reill ink cartridge in the printer and its been working fine and suddendly a message came on error 1102 error cartridge although the ink cartridge is fill. a

    Installed new black and color cartridges and getting Error 1102. Prints out in black but not color. Worked find before. The new cartridges are Office Depot brand, instead of the original Lexmark in the red boxes. Could that have something to do with it?

Refilled ink cartridges differ considerably in quality and behavior. The printer is designed to work with Lexmark cartridges and any other cartridge is going to pose some risks and they certainly will not communicate the fill level accurately.

I loaded a new colour cartridge in a lexmark p4350 it gives me a code 1102 i have cleaned the heads and still it gives an error 1102

Error 1102 Refuse to print PC screen says incompatible cartridge although I'm using original lexmark cartridge.

Cartridge error 1102, but I have been using the cartridge with no problems this morning


Try to remove your cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset itself. When the printer turns on, reload the cartridges. If the error continues, one of the cartridges may have gone bad. Error Code 1102 on Lexmark P6350 Printer


Hi, it seems that it's a cartridge problem. That's the most probable reason why you're getting that error code. Try this out.
1. Remove cartridges.
2. Unplug printer from power outlet.
3. Then, plug printer back in power outlet after 10-15 seconds.
4. Reinsert cartridges.
If error still appears, redo steps 1, 2 and 3. Then, insert black cartridge first. If error appears, replace black cartridge. If not, insert color cartridge, if error appears, replace color cartridge. Hope this helps.

What is Error Code 1102


If you get errors after refilling and then you clear the error! And you still get errors occuring then this is a problem with the cartridge.
1)The cartridges printhead may have burned out if it was run dry. (new cartridge is required)
2) No ink is coming out of the port hole! Try dabbing the bottom of the cartridge on tissue. Ink should appear if not then use tissue with Isopropyl alcohol and blot lightly until ink apppears.
3) If not ink appears then you may have an air bubble blocking the flow of the ink. wrap cartridge tightly in plastic wrap holing in an up right position whip downwards this will force air to the top of the cartridge and open the port on the bottom. Remove wrap and try it out.
4) If the cartridge sat empty for a period of time before refilling you are wasting your time. The ink is probably sitting at the top of the cartridge and can not migrate to the bottom, in this case it may have burned out.

In refilling of Lexmark cartridges:
Refill often and do not allow them to run dry. Running them while there is not ink in the cartridge burns the print head out and the cartridge will not work and you will get an error.
By refilling often the cartridge stays in good condition, you do not run out of ink during a print job, and the cartridge will have a prolonged life span.

i have a lexmark p4350 and just recently got a eror message 1102, says consult user guide, cannot find that error message in the guide, what is it, thanks

Inputting new ink cartridges


Error 1102 means cart error. Try cleaning the copper contacts on the cart and the contacts in the printer also. If still fails, then put old carts and check if u still get same error. If u dont get the error then there is a problem with the cart itself. But if you have bought a refilled cart then the print heads on the carts are bad. Needs replacement.

Error after reloading color ink


Remover Black and color cartridges. Place small paper towel to protect ink outlet on bottom of printer. Use WD-40 spray on copper surfaces,both sides(Blk& Color). Dry surfaces with paper towel. remove small towel placed in bottom . Reinstall both cartridges. This cleared my 1102 error. Die Rote Baron!
