Question about Brother DCP-350C InkJet Printer

Printer and Scanner failed installation diagnostics

After following installation instructions, the installation diagnostics showed that the printer and scanner had failed. Followed the instructions to make sure that usbxxxx is showing in printer port. Turned pc and printer on and off and then ran the Repair MFL Suite. No joy. Is it best to uninstall and start again, or download new drivers??

Just follow the instructions being printed :) Take the so called diagnostics page put it in the scanner then press the asked button.

hello, machine will need to finish calibration so it will not come back, so if machine failes it could be that the color cartridge is not printing, because this machine uses yellow to calibrate with.

When I try to scan it states no scan options. Once it read no connections but I am able to print from my computer.


No, HP J4580, is not a laser, it is inkjet printer.

You did not state what is your operating system and what is exact error wording. Will try to help with these limited info available, I assume you are using Windows.

Your problem indicates that you did not installed scanner software for this printer or it was not installed correctly. I would suggest re-installation of the scanner program and drivers if this is the problem. Before you do that please run HP Scanner Diagnostic Program and then follow it's instructions:

Yes, the printer can still be connected to your computer via the USB cable. Before connecting the printer to your computer, I suggest you insert the installation cd in your computer first. Run the software and follow the instructions on it. While it is installing, the software will also show you a step-by-step instructions on how to setup the printer itself. Hope this helps.

That is alright , you need to re-install the drivers for it to work, shut down both machine, and connect the printer to the system, and power them back on, the system will recognize the printer it will also ask for the drivers please follow the instructions.

I just put brandnew ink in my printer and did all the troubleshooting and cleaned and unplugged and turned back on still my printer will not print. Can any one help?


Make sure you install the driver properly and check the test print also .still if u fail check all this setting and follow this steps, 1st you install the driver disc which is come along with the printer and when the software prompt you to connect the cable then plug the usb cable and follow the instruction.

Carriage jam


You could try clearing the jam and then removing power from the printer altogether to re-initialize the printer. However, if that fails either the printer diagnostics chip has gone awry or you have a virus.

Scanner!!!


Install all printer software to your computer. You may have to restart your computer once this is completed. In my computer if you are using Windows, should appear an icon for your scanner. Press the icon and follow the instructions on the screen.

Installing printer and scanner


here you go, try to uninstall the driver on your pc, then removed it also on the control panel.. then restart your pc...after you doing all this, try to install again your printer driver..then read and follow the instructions.
