on a Motherboard:
MSI P4MAM2-V (MS-7095) (3 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 CNR, 2 DDR DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN), Processor: Intel Pentium 4, 2400 MHz (18 x 133),
Chipset: VIA VT8751A Apollo P4M266A
You probably need the M/soft UAA drivers first download and install them
Then go to device drivers right click driver with yellow mark on it and upgrade driver should go on net and find and install driver

Tips for a great answer:
Update your embedded sound from Realtek to the latest AC'97 codec.
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers or you can download the drivers
