Question about Mitsubishi VS-50603 50" Rear Projection Television
Hello Big Irish.
i was hoping that you could help me with a problem.
here's what the tv is doing.
no power, no response from the front control panel.
there is no high voltage from the fly back.....
now, i looked at the middle PCB ( i am guessing the audio/video ) and there was some corrosion by the middle screw. the corrosion was an a cap, voltage regulator, and ,diodes. i cleaned off the corrosion and checked all of the surrounding components and they seem good but i still have no power.
also, i did look (just a visual pass) of the main board and i checked R529 off the fly back, it was not open. i also checked pin 4 of ic700 and had o volts (no ac). i didn't have 4.7 volts @ pins 3 and 4 of signal pcb's rf connector. Should ac have been on for this test?
this is where i am with the tv.
i hope that you can point me in the right direction.
i will check back and you can email me at bcssr at charter dot net
DAVE; Sorry about your problem. .....The TV's board has been damaged by the fluid, causing the PC to have poor/open trace connections. These boards are double trace, circuits top and bottom, so, you have many 'feeds'. You might be able to find some one in your area to repair them. New boards from factory are not available. Some places, factory , will rebuild these boards, it's not an easy fix.
Good Luck, big IRISH.
