Djm 600 - fader panel not working

Okay, I just plugged in my djm-600 with all fader down and found the sound was completely unaffected by the faders (up down and crossfader). The eq's are still working.

After having a think about it there may have been a few things that could have caused this:

  • at the party (the night before) there were several power cuts, everything seemed fine at the time when turned back on.
  • the gains weren't watched very closely and could have been red-lining most of the night.
  • the master volume was up fairly high but shouldn't have been a problem unless the gains where up (as mentioned above).
Any ideas whether this will require a full replacement of the mixer, or if it may just be a fuse or fader panel issue?

I would recommend checking a fuse somthing with such good quality would less liky need a replace ment unless the power cut really damaged it internily

Pioneer DJM 600 Master Out 2 Left Side Doesnt Work. any help please?

it could be a few problems,

1 - the left master connection to the board has come away (you would have to open up the mixer to detect this.)

2 - the master fader is faulty (you can tell this by checking your master level indicators are both on whilst music is playing, or tapping the fader.)

My advice would be to have it serviced or if under warranty speak to the store you bought it from. But if you feel confident and know what your doing u can find replacement parts on ebay etc.

Hope this helps a little

Volume control of system output is not stable with sudden high volume output bursts. Any ideas?

Sounds like a faulty / worn fader. If it does it on all channels then look at the master fader 1st.

A good source of parts is available here :-

Hi ive knocked a large glass of drink over mixer.do u have any tips.its a djm 500.theres no sound and its doing all sorts of crazy things.like chanels round wrong way etc etc`ive tried to dry it out.it...

What was the drink?. If is was something like coke then it's going to need a full strip and clean as coke is very corrosive.
If it was plain water then I'd still strip it and put it somewhere warm for a couple of weeks to ensure it's REALLY dry before using it further.
You might need some new faders / switches etc depending on the severity of the spill.

Just recently the sound coming from my mixer has started to jump up and down

clean your mixer with air blower---and bring good contact cleaner from radio shack near you and apply it with long pipe to all faders and volume control in your mixer and move them up and down or forward and backward.

How do i fix my pioneer djm 500 mixer when i changed the voltage while the power supply was in. without looking at the back of the mixer where it said "caution do not change voltage while power supply is...

Just done the same thing. Remove the screws on the top of the
case and then all knobs, faders etc. One you have exposed the
inside of the mixer you will see a fuse where the power enters the
case. Replace the fuse with a 800ma 20mm fuse and this will fix it.

Pioneer DJM-600 Bad feedback when i turn up the master volume

It's not your ground wire with the issue, but your RCA cables. Try disconnecting both turntables, and connect 1 at a time, and do the same test, this way you can isolate the problem. Once you've isolated the problem, then you'll need to have the RCA cables replaced on your turntable.

You might also want to check the Cartridges as well. Sometimes a bad cartridge or headshell connection will cause this issue. Worst case scenario, its your tonearm, but that should be test last.

Also, on the rear of your mixer, there is a gain volume pot, make sure this is not maxed out. Keep it about 3/4 of they up. Again, this is on the rear of your mixer where you connect everything.
