Ebay Removed My Listings Without Warning

In responding to a work-from-home ad, recruiting for Ebay sellers to promote their brand name clothes, I started with this drop shipping business. I noticed there were other sellers based on the pictures shown and some of their content. That was one of the factors that helped me determine this may be a legitimate venture.

As I started posting these listings, around my second round of posting, Ebay removed one of my listings last Friday. The others were like them, so I didn't know why that one was singled out. I contacted Live Chat General Support to no avail. They referred me to the Trust & Security team (I believed they're called) to provide me understanding as to why the listing was removed. The responses I received from this team read really generic, to the point where I thought they were automated. There was no explaination as to why the listing was removed, just links for me to figure out what could have applied. The messages read that because of security reasons, they could not provide me with a reason as to why the listing was removed.

So, I went and tried to modify my other listings. I didn't want Ebay taking down anymore of them. This morning when I checked my Ebay account, a few more of my listing were removed. I went through the process again, contacting Live Chat General Support and that Trust & Security Team. Still there was no resolution. I asked to speak with a live person over the phone, but Ebay only offers live chat and email support and that hasn't really served me.

My issues are I don't understand why my listings were removed and getting actual assistance isn't easy or near impossible. I read the links the Support team sent to me and nothing applied to my listings, but they did threaten to close my account or at least suspend it because of some illegal activity. What they mentioned was that for the safety of Ebay and the members, listings were removed. I am not interested in working against the policies of Ebay, I would like to understand what the problem is so that I can retify whatever the issue is.

I would appreciate someone who is familiar with Ebay policies to look at my listings to see if they comply with Ebay's regulations. Granted, I don't have the same ads any more, but I have no idea what the problem was in the first place, so I'm not certain if I made the applicable changes.

Do you have any thoughts about it?

Wow! Selling organs...I'm gonna let that get past me.

Thank you for that! I had no idea why they were removing them. In the new listing, I intuitively added they are genuine so hopefully that will work. I need to find out where the clothes are coming from.

    Many thanks!!!

Ebay are incompetent, I have many legal items ended due to their ignorance. They suspend me from listing and refuse to address my questions besides the same old BS automated responses.
My advice, if you can sell elsewhere, do it.

I used to work in the clothing business a long time ago.  I wonder if comes from complaints from the clothing companies because of some people out there selling brand name clothing that could be counterfeit.  They could have been threatening them with legal action.  I think if you can prove where the clothes are coming from you can get them re listed.
EBay cancels auctions based on complaints from other customers if there is any suspicion of fraud.  The only other time I heard of any auctions being cancelled is when some have tried to sell organs.
Good luck on that.

Basic set up to sell items

Follow the tips for Successful Selling on eBay which help you to increase sell on eBay.

1. Your first step towards becoming an eBay seller is to set up an eBay account

6. Adding photos of your sale item to the listing page usually increases the chance that people will bid on it

7. Make sure that your listing title is free from spelling errors, accurately represents the item you are selling and contains key words that buyers will be likely to use in their search

8. Do some research on shipping costs and methods so you can provide prospective buyers with a shipping cost or estimate

I have emailed seller numerous times regarding a retun and have heard nothing back. Also returned item and followed up with emails when the tracking showed receipt of returned merchandise. He doesn't...

Go to the resolution center in Ebay and open up a case with them. If you need to find the resolution centre then just google for it. Ebay have always been very quick and efficient for me.

I ordered a hello kitty mobile from ebay it was posted 16dec ive not received it i emailed the seller got no reply ive phoned the post office as due to bad weather it was held up in post they cliam it...

Always look at the feedback of the seller. Even if they have high feedback click on the numbers next to their name and see what the last 5 customers said. You will often find that for what ever reason even sellers with literally thousands of feedback just one day goes sour and try to make as much money as possible before closing their doors.

To resolve this now:
1. log in at
2. Go to my ebay (upper right hand corner)
3. In left tabs find "wWon/Purchased" and click it
4. If you HAVE paid for the product and the $ sign next to the item is filled in then click the drop down arrow next to more options find the option to open a case.
5. from there follow the steps and ebay will try to resolve it.

They will ask you if you want a refund or still want your product. They will try to work with you AND the seller to be fare to both parties. If a solution can't be found and you DID already pay for the product and can prove it then they will close the case in your favor will full refund. Make sure you leave feedback so future buyers know that seller didn't ship product.

Don't be afraid of negative feedback, sellers can only leave neutral and positive feedback, they can NOT leave negative feedback...

Ebay has protections against this. Here is a check list of bonus things you need to do to protect yourself.

*never respond to "ebay" email that doesn't have your user name in it.

*If you get an email asking to update account don't click link in the email, TYPE out and go to your inbox THROUGH ebay to verify it is from them, if it wasn't from them then go back to that email and forward it to

*only talk to buyers or sellers through ebay, don't email them directly this way all communication is recorded in the even you have to make a claim, or they make a claim. As long as your honest tracking all communication through ebay will only help you.

*check sellers history, a good rule of thumb, if they are less than 10 feedback, or have a lot of CURRENT negative feedback it might be safe to pay that extra dollar to a different ebayer and have confidence you will receive your product.

I just used a link supplied by ebay motors to attempt to get seller info, not sure I added my email address...I did put in user id and Item Id...I presume you would have my email address as I was using...

If you used the advanced search to find the contact information of the seller, you and your seller will receive each others information as follows:
name company city state zipcode phone number
The email address will not be included unless you will provide it to your seller.
Hope this helps. By the way, your seller will receive this in his/her personal email like you did (if you requested the phone number).

How do you put a reserve price

A reserve price is the lowest price at which you’re willing to sell your item. If you don’t want to sell your item below a certain price, you can a set a reserve price. The amount of your reserve price isn’t shown to your bidders, but they will see that your auction has a reserve price that has not been met. If a bidder doesn’t meet that price, you aren’t obliged to sell your item. Once the reserve price has been met, the reserve price text is no longer displayed.
Why have a reserve price? Many sellers have found that too high a starting price discourages interest in their item, while an attractively low starting price makes them vulnerable to selling at an unsatisfactorily low price. A reserve price helps with this.
Note: The reserve price option is only visible in the online auction format; it’s not visible for fixed price or classified ad listings. It’s also not available for Multiple Item auctions.
All Reserve Price Auctions are subject to a Reserve Price Auction Fee.
You may lower your reserve price after you receive bids on the item.
Note: To keep eBay a safe place for buyers and sellers, eBay limits how bid history information is shown. User IDs are not shown—buyers are identified only as anonymous names throughout the duration of the auction, even if you lower the price. Only you, the seller, can see the user IDs of bidders on your items.

Removed Listings "Circumvention of Fees"

then stop selling emails
just dont put anything like ill send u the info on how to get it by email or dont put ur phone number in and say that contact me so that i dont have to pay ebay fees or anything similar to that such as putting ur paypal accnt in there and telling the buyer to pay u directly so tht u can cancel the listing to get ur fees back
if u continue to do this they;ll bann ur accnt just like mine got banned
and some of them got removed while the others didnt because one of two things
ebay doesnt have the time to go through all the 6 million auctions each day
or someone reported u and when they did they didnt report every listing only some of them

EBay listings

The listing structure is not the only thing that has changed at ebay. Sellers can no longer leave negative or neutral feedback. The way around this is to click positive response and then let them have it in the comment area. This works great for me. Also, Meg Whitman who had run ebay for the last ten years retired in March of '08. Also Pierre Omidyar- ebay founder and ceo has decided that buyers must have a near perfect ranking to bid, this is probably whats affecting your business. They have effectively cut the number of buyers who can qualify in half. Contact ebay and give them a piece of your mind.
