Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T1 Digital Camera
I have noticed that many people have been experiencing problems with their Cyber Shot T1s due to a malfunctioning CCD. I seem to have a similar problem but it does not exactly match the description that is available on the Sony website. When I turn the camera on, the LCD screen seems to function properly. The color and image is normal. When I take a still picture, i get a photo that is almost completely white. I can still make out a few faint features but this picture seems to match with the description of other people's pictures.
However, when I take a video, the LCD image is normal as i'm taking the video and the video playback is also normal. Is this still a problem with a malfunctioning CCD or is there something else wrong with my camera.
Thank you for your time.
When ccd imager is defective, picture result on still image and video get bad in either cases.
Your camera problem is some thing different and hardware failure is possible like data processing IC but in any case, digital processing board has to be replaced and I'm sure its price would be above and over the camera worth.
You can give try by removing and plugging back the flexible wire board ( ribbon) of lens and ccd imager attached to circuit board. Be careful when handling as flexible wire board can be damaged easily.
