How to install my Lexmark X1150 Printer on my computer

The printer is compatible, it's just that there is no win 7 driver. According to their site, you can just use the Vista driver:

http://support.lexmark.com/index?segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_UK&locale=en&productCode=LEXMARK_X1150&page=product&frompage=null#2

click the win 7/8 support link on the page.

Document sometimes doesn't print

If the documents are large or have a lot of pictures and pages, printing can take a while. However, if the same thing occurs with a one page letter, try re-loading the printer driver(s) and/or check the printer settings, especially those that have to do with spooling. It's usually best to choose the setting that allows the document to spool so it prints faster.

Just in case you don't have the manul, here is a link to the book in PDF format:

First go to control panel, and see if you can print a test page from the printers list (Right click the printer, properties, print test page button)

If you can't print a self-test, the disconnect the printer, uninstall the drivers, reboot, download the latest driver from support.lexmark.com, connect printer when prompted during drive install.

If you can print a self-test, then right click the printer icon, and click set as default, then reopen you application and try printing again

I have a computer with the Vista software and I'm having problems connecting a printer. The computer is a Gateway and the printer is Lexmark X4550.

The reason you are having problems is because you need to install the driver for the printer. The driver is the software that allows the operating system and the printer to communicate.

For your specfic printer , you can download the driver here: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/PRINTER/LEXMARK/Lexmark-X4550-Printer-Driver-10111.shtml

Simply download it and run the setup , it will install the printer for you and you should be able to print!

How do i uninstall the lexmark z53 printer from my computer and re install it.

Start Registry Editor. To do this, click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK. Locate and expand the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86View the list of subkeys. There should only be the following subkeys: • Drivers • Print Processors
in the delete any subkeys listed other than drivers and print processors
Locate and then expand the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\MonitorsView the list of subkeys. There should only be the following subkeys for the default print monitors: • BJ Language Monitor • Local Port • PJL Language Monitor • Standard TCP/IP Port • USB Monitor if there are others listed aside from the ones above delete it
then try adding back your lexmark

What a mess of a question! Absolutely run some updates on your OS, look in your Administrative Tools for logs about spooling and printing, and make sure those Lexmark drivers are also the latest versions (from the web, not the CD that shipped with the printer.) Your computer is pretty irrelevant unless the error relates to something unique about it; a correct problem classification would be all about your model of Lexmark, would it not? And in particular, the way Windows XP printing fails in the manner of pretending to pass something along to print, with whatever Lexmark settings you select, but nothing comes out even when you select the device from the Start menu under Printers and FAXes, even if you set the printer to Use Printer Online, right? All clear then.
