Won't Eject Tape

same problem, after you hit eject is pops out and never opens up, to the right of the "push" button is an arm with a spring, pushing it back will open that side, on the left side is a pin with an arm you can move the arm back the pin moves and the other side will open as well, wont fix the problem but will get you your tape back.  I have a very upset wife, we had a jvc mini DV went out one winter change in temp killed it instantly, now our canon has sat a few years and wont work either,  we bought a flip video, it works.

I had a similar problem last few days with my ZR60.
The problem I had was that the tape won't eject and on repeated attempts to eject it would eject as if it had a mind of its own.
I was messing with it a little bit and realized that the door was not opening fully. Being a delicate item I didn't realize that I was not fully opening the door may be because there was a little friction in the pivot pins or what ever.
Try to gently swing the door open fully and see if it helps.
Since I discovered this problem I tried 10-12 times, and every time it would eject the tape and load it.
I was almost going to give up this camcorder last night thank GOD, I am able to use it.
