This should be a typical Midland pinout. If you are using a generic 4 pin mic that is wired to cobra/Uniden, all you have to do is switch pin 1 & 2, then 3 & 4.

Not all mics are color coded the same with their wires.

here is the pin outs.. look at the switch in the mic handheld housing.. and attach as the one shown for midland 4 pin. this will work with any radio. and doesn't matter which color is what.. as long as the wire on the switch matches the wire on the pin correctly.

I need to wire a silver salute mic to a cobra 142 gtl 5 pin what color wire goes towhat mic pin

dont go by colors.. go by what wires are on the switch and mic element.. mics can be rewired and no one told you the colors could have changed FYI..

Pin #1 ~ Audio
Pin #2 ~ Shield
Pin #3 ~ Receive
Pin #4 ~ Switch Wire
Pin #5 ~ Transmit

always go by connections not color of the wire. that way you learn and you can do any mic. to any radio.

Cb radio trc446 rewiring microphone color coding

if you pulled it completely out you may have a problem . Trial and error is all I can tell you.Get a volt meter and check the mic pins on the radio . Ground one lead and touch each pin for ohms the first one to make noise is the ground. then touch the ground with one lead and touch the next pin and the next . now if there is any left over wire on the plug you can rewire it , then go from there.

I have a Midland CB Car with no mike or a car power pluge, the model # is 70 - 336B and the serial # is 760408

Your midland CB will use a standard 4 pin wired CB plug which is most common for most mics sold today. Your power cord will be a standard 3 pin CB power cord which again is most common with CB's today. You need not purchase a "radio specific" cord or mic. Cobra, Uniden, Midland all the same mic pin out and power cords. Good luck.

if this dose not work try moving the red wire to pin 5 and the blue wire

Look for schematics for a midland cb

daniel, first off, I need a complete model number for the radio info. Midland only made about 40-50 different models over the years. The header calls for a 75-822 and you are asking for a ** 833. The beginning should be a 13 or 75,76,77,78. Let me know the # and i'll be able to get you the proper pinout.
Thanks,,, Mechanic
