The proiblem should not be too complicate.
Can you please click the right button of mouse on the picture file, chose properties, and tell us what is the file extension (AVI, MPG, JPG etc.)

Is the picture edited with a PC or recorded with a digital camera from another manufacturer

in folders with different numbers from the ones used prior to the

However if you turn the camera on again and record pictures, the
recorded folder numbers are different from the prior recorded folder
numbers.

What do you mean you cannot download it to your computer? computer is not recognizing the camera of the video is not there? please clarify, If the video is save on the memory card of your camera try putting that mermoy card on a card reader and download the video that way...

So you're saying that the paricular video is missing and only shows photo when the camera is connected to your computer? I believe there's some folder there where the video is being save can you please check all the folders...
Is the camera connected to your computer or just the mermory card via a card reader? there's possibility that the video was save in the camera built in memory or to the memory card...
So when the camera is connected via USB cable what are the folders there? check all the folders i think its just save on another fiolder since you can play it on your camera....

Connect your camera to your computer. you should see the camera in my computer, open the camera folder, the movie should be in there.
optionally if you recorded it into the memory card, you could remove the memory card from the camera, plug it into a card reader - connect it to your usb port and then copy the movie from it to your computer.
Are you sure you took video instead of a picture? can you play it on the camera?
you can use the windows movie maker to make the clips into one movie.

open up the zip file you downloaded and run the setup file inside in the setup you basicly needs to press next next next next and finaly finish. now try if you see the video instead of just a picture.
the file you downloaded, double click it, it opes up, theres a file in there with a long name, double click that file, the setup / install comes up, just keep clicking next next next to install the codec.

So I can download it but it downloads as a picture.

the only folder is october 6. That is the only folder that it is saved to
