If all lights are flashing on this device and there's no computer or devices connected on those ports and only telling us that the hub is already bad and there's no way to reset this hub since it doesn't have any reset button, the next step that you need to here is to ask for a replacement for this device I think it has a 5 year or a life time warranty from Dlink so contact them and have this hub replace...

Hope that helps..........

No, Really. I have 16 ports. And two labeled expansion in/out. Really where does the net in cable go?

The Expansion IN port. The OUT port is for adding another hub. The key word being stackable, in case you need more than 16 ports. Hope this clears thing up.

Which port to place network in put

If it is a hub then you can plug any device into any port. It doesn't matter which. All a hub does is broadcast data received on anymore out all the other ports at half duplex speeds. I'd recommend getting a switch instead. Same price and they don't suffer from all weaknesses a hub has.

Reset speed from 10Mbps on 100Mbps (D-Link DE-1824i)

Tony,  I was looking at the specs and found these lines :- Choices of 12 and 24 10BASE-T ports per hub
1 100BASE-TX port (for connection to 100BASE-TX hubs) Which is saying that the user/pc ports are fixed 10Mps and there is one 100Mbps uplink port to connect two hubs together.

Open Port 81 on Netgear Switch

Actually you need to open the port on the cable modem / router. Switches just pass the packets along.
