Hello all. I've recently installed the deh p7700mp unit in my truck. I have the wiring harness connected and have installed several stereos in the past. For some unknown reason tho the right rear speaker doesn't work. No distortion or anything. Was wondering what this could be and if there is any way to fix this problem? Thanks for the help

Re: right rear speaker not working
Start by connecting it to one of the other outputs off the deck, say the left rear. If it still doesn't work, remove the speaker and connect it directly to the head unit. If it works, then it's the speaker wire, if it doesn't, it's the speaker. If there are amplifiers installed, switch RCA cables left for right etc. and see if the problem moves with the cable switch, try the same with the speaker connections at the amp. This will narrow down whether it's the amp or the RCA cable etc. Car audio problems can be handled by a process of elimination! Eliminate what it's not and you're pointed directly to what it is.

On your Alero, the 12V constant wire is ORANGE and should connect to the YELLOW wire coming from the DEH-2300 wiring harness. 12V switched on your Alero is YELLOW and should be connected to RED coming from the DEH-2300.
Remove the speakers and trace the signal pairs (wires) to their origin, maybe they are still factory harnessed where you can access a connection point behind the head unit. Here are the factory color codes .
Hope this helps Aduz

hey, either the face plate isn't getting good connection with the unit so you need to clean the connection gold plates or your just on a blank screen and you can fix that by pressing the knob in until the screen says Entertainment, then scroll thru the possible screens until you choose one you like.
Did you check the fuse with a ohmmeter. fuses that small are realy hard to see... just check the continuity between the two termanils on the fuse, there should be continuity.
Check your fuse panel of your car or truck, maybe it poped a fuse there. Physically check the power input with a votimeter and see if you have your 12 volts to the unit.
