My Cool Touch won't come on either. I wiggled the magnetic power cord and it came on one time but then, the second time, I tried wiggling the cord to relenquish the problem and zilch! Becoming more and more frustrated and since my fish was battered and ready to go I started pressing at the connections. It turned out that PUSHING THE POWER SWITH TO 'ON' AND THEN APPLYING FIRMER PRESSURE IN THAT SAME DIRECTION made the light come on, signifying POWER!!! Hope this helps. I imagine the problem lies in the 'ON' switch and by pressing it firmly upwards the connection is made.

I just purchased the Preston pro fryer and it will not power up, I have regular wall outlet in my kitchen and it says I need a 120 v wall outlet I thought all wall outlets were 120 help!!!!!!

Chandra, Try a different outlet, if powers up, the other outlet is faulty or blown fuse/breaker. If it does not power up return for refund or exchange.

Bought second hand goodmans DGB3 freeview box, but although batteries in remote control are fine the unit will not switch on. The red light at front of the freeview box wiil not turn green? Any ideas would...

You must mean the GDB3, Goodmans never made anything called a DGB3.

There's nothing you can do Tony, you've bought a dud.

The GDB3 sold new for under £15 in many outlets and I bought two of them for £10 each; at that price it's not designed to be repaired and failures when under warranty are just binned and replaced by the retailer/manufacturer. Even a replacement remote control costs more than the box originally cost.

You've been unlucky and bought unwisely on this occasion, but don't let it put you off Goodmans in general as they're generally more reliable than many others at the same price level. Don't buy another used Freeview box though as there are many which are out of date and incompatible with the latest Freeview technical standards. You can still buy new boxes for under £20 if you shop around.

I have the same problem. I read in the manual that there is a reset switch at the back of the control panel, but I can't find the switch.

Bravetti Deep Fryer Model F1053B Not getting Power anymore

Hey guys I fixed my problem...yay. All I did was to push a red button which I beleive is a resset button on the back of the on/off button part. It ain't visible but if you look in the holes of the screws that hold this part together (they are far down in the hole) one of them hides a small red button. Push it down with a toothpick or anything small enough to fit the hole and you're done. Plug it back and it works.

Fryer stopped working

Hey Guys I had the same problem .. Make sure the unit fits into the grooves on the back side .. The Heating element grooves ..There is a reset ,, you have to use a very small pin to do it .. But I believe the problem is what I stated .. Also remember to clean out the oil pan .. If any gung builds up on the elements it will not HEAT up .. We went thru this same problem as you have all stated ..So check the two situations I have stated ...Good Luck

Hi, Its very possible that you have the wrong power to your fryer. I noticed that you said that you tried to plug it in. If it does not seem to fit or if you had to bend anything on the plug to make it fit you need to have an electrician check to make sure you have the correct power to the fryer. The wall outlet will have the power information printed on it. The manual will give you the power requirements. It the plug fits ok, check your breaker for that outlet. Good Luck. If this solution does not rate an (Almost There) Please do not rate.

Thank You,
