Question about Rival CZF530 Deep Fryer
I have had the 530 for about 6 months bought at Target store worked fine till about a week ago . I have power from wall outlet to where the controles plug in as far as I know none from there to controles
My Cool Touch won't come on either. I wiggled the magnetic power cord and it came on one time but then, the second time, I tried wiggling the cord to relenquish the problem and zilch! Becoming more and more frustrated and since my fish was battered and ready to go I started pressing at the connections. It turned out that PUSHING THE POWER SWITH TO 'ON' AND THEN APPLYING FIRMER PRESSURE IN THAT SAME DIRECTION made the light come on, signifying POWER!!! Hope this helps. I imagine the problem lies in the 'ON' switch and by pressing it firmly upwards the connection is made.

I experienced the same problem. One day the lights on the unit weren't on. The wall outlet that the dishwasher uses had power because the Garbage Disposal that also uses the same outlet had power. Turns out the power supply cord also tied to the water supply hose and had over the months (due to the constant slapping or dancing of the water hose whenever the electrically controlled water valve was opened or closed), had caused the female receptor prong inside the wall outlet to loose continuity with the male prong of the dishwasher power cord. It might have been a defective wall plug all along but the wall outlet worked for months before the problem arose. Anyway, after replacing the wall outlet the dishwasher again has lights and works fine.
