This looks like u have trouble with drivers, if u familiar with drivers then try to follow this link http://www.acer.com/public/home.jsp look for support and Downloads - Downloads - in Bios utilities & applications select ur Location - Driver Downloads - Select ur model - look for Touch Pad Drivers.

If the above is difficult to follow up try using ur recovery disc, which came with ur Laptop.

Touchpad Scrolling

The scrolling feature on a laptop touchpad can take some getting used to, which causes some users to disable the feature.
Whether scrolling was intentionally turned off or never enabled on the laptop, it can easily be turned on from the "Mouse Properties" menu.

Click "Start" (or the Windows logo button in Vista and Windows 7) and select "Control Panel." Select "Classic View" in Vista if not already displayed. Double click "Mouse."
You may also access "Mouse Properties" in Vista and Windows 7 by clicking the Windows logo and typing "Mouse" in the search box.
Press "Enter," then click "Mouse" when the search is finished.
Select the "Hardware" tab.
Select the touchpad and click "Properties."
Click "Change Settings" if the settings aren't displayed.
Click the "Device Settings" tab in Windows 7 and select the touchpad.
Click "Settings."
Click "Virtual Scrolling" in the touchpad properties window.
Click the boxes next to each "Enable Scrolling" box and click "OK." Scrolling is now turned on for your touchpad.

Scroll on touchpad doesnt work

Using another mouse or your keyboard to reenable the touchpad options can be done either from the taskbar (bottom right there should be an icon.....) or ... from the Control Panel

If that doesn't work, Google the Drivers for your particular laptop 'straight from the brand's website (if it's a dell...... go to dell.com,.......etc.... they can be found under "support"

My CineDash Media Console will not work anymore. The volume, stop, play, etc. does not work. Not with itunes anymore.

This is the way to get it to work!
Getting the CineDash Media Console and Launch Buttons working
If you have problems with either the CineDash Media Console or Launch buttons then you will be happy to hear that the solution for fixing these is easy!
The first thing that you will need to do is install the “Launch Manager” which can be downloaded off the Acer website. Go to www.acer.com and click the service support, then driver download. Go to your model. Download the Launch Manager here (hosted here) or go to the acer site and find it there. The filename should be “Kilimanjaro_v2.0.00_Vistax32×64_XPx32×64.zip” the version of Launch Manager under the Windows Vista operating system .This will get the Email, Web and Empowering Technology buttons working with their default settings. If you need to change what the buttons do, you can launch the application named “Launch Manager” in the start menu.
Uninstall any previous version of Launch Manager
The solution to my problem was to get the Launch Manager to run in compatibility mode for Windows Vista Service Pack 2.
Unzip. Explore the new folder and right-click Setup.exe.
To do this go to the Launch Manager Install directory (C:\Program Files\Launch Manager ), right-click on “setup.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install. But don’t reboot yet!
Now locate and explore the freshly installed folder in your program files directory – (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Launch Manager or C:\Program Files\Launch Manager depending on if you are running 64-bit or 32-bit)
right-click on “LManager.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install.
Reboot and enjoy properly synced volume, and fully functioning buttons.

I have lost the ability to scroll using the right vertical edge of the touch pad. Otherwise the pad works fine but it is annoying not being able to scroll any more without moving the cursor to the 'scroll...

The option to enable or disable the scrolling option for the notebook touchpad is generally available by going to the Control Panel, then selecting Mouse. Within that area, go to Device Settings, select the touchpad from the list of available devices, then click Settings. There should be an option for "virtual scrolling" - click on it, and you should be given the options to turn on or off both horizontal and vertical scrolling for the touchpad control.

My touchpad scrolling won't work on my acer aspire 5610, how do i fix this problem?

Touchpad scrolling is a feature that can be changed in the Control Panel.

Go to Start, Control Panel, and click on "Mouse". You should be able to browse through the tabs and find the options for touch-tapping, scrolling, and other things for your touchpad. Hope this helps!
