My ps3 wont play games and it keeps freezing whenever I try to play a game. It started when I was playing the demo for NBA 2K9 and I tapped the center ps3 button and I clicked the other demo NBA live 09 and it had frozen. So I had turned the switch off and on and it said something about a hard drive and formating it and it asked me to format it, it would delete all of my files but I didnt want that to happen so I turned the ps3 off and on again. Now every time I turn it on it goes to the user menu and I click on my user and it loads a little. So I scroll up and down on the game section and it shows the refreshing symbol going around in circles and it will not show up anymore. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    everytime i play 2k9 it always freezes in like the 2nd quarter.......is there going to be a new release.............i have it for ps3

My ps3 freezes up every when I am playing Madden 09 and its getting real old. I have to quit my game every time because there is no other way to fix it other than quiting. It doesnt freeze all the time but it has started to alot more a few days ago. Is there something I can do about this?

Only time I ran into this was a bad laser.

after system would get hot the laser would stop working replaced laser all was well after hours of game play.

but with all drive problems can be the drive board, over heating as well causing it to stop reading.

The games will keep freezing no scratches on the game
Try getting a lens cleaner disc. You should be able to find one were you get your games and/or movies.

Freezing during game play
i had the same issue when i played Call of Duty 3 after 3-4 hours of playing it freezed suddenly.i had something underneath it an towel so i wont get it scratched but after i removed it,it stop freezing,but i advise you to keep the PS3 where it has air to get well ventilated and you wont get any troubles with it...it's not human that the PS3 freezes

maybe u have to many saved files so try deleting somethings if that doesnt work then maybe your game is scratched

Ps3 keeps freezing on games only
Try using a can of air to blow out the fan area. Even though its well ventilated it may be full of dust. It sounds like an overheating issue. Also look into aftermarket fan/cooling solutions, that dont plug directly into the PS3 and have there own outlet power plug.
