OK, here's the background. Installed about 2 weeks ago and it worked fine. Bettery went dead a couple of days ago and after the car was jumped it quit working. Both the radio fuse and the amp fuse were replaced, all the wiring checked. When the power is turned on, the red light lights momentarily, but the green power light never comes on. The unit lights up like power is there, but the unit will not start.
Did that to mine. Bat went dead and went to jump the car. What happends is when you attach the jumper cables, it surges the power to the amp. This gets worse with caps. I would say you blew the relay in the amp and needs to be replaced. It is worth fixin but youll have to send it off or take it to a repair shop to have the new relay put in

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. D
.A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you.
might have roasted your speakers voice coils a little which may be sending the amp into protect mode throw a speaker on it that you know works and if it doesnt trigger the protect circuit then you probably have a blown or almost sub.
You did not say whether or not you checked the wiring going to your subs. Many times, a shorted or grounded speaker wire will cause an amp to fail. And if the amp powers up OK with the subs disconnected, I'd suspect one or more of the wires.
It sounds like the output transistors have shorted. This is VERY common. If you want to try to troubleshoot the problem, I'd need to see photos of the inside of the amp. You'll need a multimeter to check the transistors.
Before opening the amp, remove it from the power source.
Since the resolution is severely limited here, send the photos to me directly (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you're going to send multiple photos, please zip them and send one file.
With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage drops below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.
Check the Inline Fuse -=Usually located Close to the battery in the engine copartment=- and also check the fuse in the AMP. Without knowing and seeing all of the details i would say to try to bypass the capicator, I know that i always unhooked my inline before jumping the car but i know it happens. Hopefully it will be just that a fuse or the capicator but if some sort of surge resulted from multiple failures get the amp bench tested at A car audio shop. Just some thoughts.
Your battery should be fine! Although the amp might not be strong enough for the sub. All you can do is check the RCA cables from your radio to your amp as these might vibrate loose when you get to 17 volume and also check the monster cable from your amp to your sub asit might have vibrated loose as well.
I had the same problem with mine but i had the 224 version first worked nice just for a small system but i just got this one today and i hooked it up to a small sub box how i had the one before and it just dosent work the other one quit beforhand and i thought it just went bad so i figgerd id buy this one but after about and hr n 1/2 of work to show nothing kinda was a depressing moment, ive gone through my wireing about 4-5 times now and drawn it out 2 times on eveything ive done im just lost, ive even tryed diffrent rca and also tryed a diffrent radio and still nothjing tryed messing aorund with settings still nothing its kinda a bummer
