Try putting the ip address of the router into internet explorer and see if it gives you the managment page

I know the router is online because we have three other computers that are online. We have two of the Belkin F5D7050 and that one is online. It does have some problems staying connected depending on what my son is doing. I changed the IP addresses to a specific number that went in the line of what our other computers are on. I know that is kind of vague, but the are all in sequential order. I chose this rather than have the computer try to come up with one. That is how I was able to connect to the router. Hope this helps.

Well, I finally got the F5D7050 to connect to the router and it says it is connected to the internet. I had to go in and change the IP addresses, instead of it allowing to search for the IP addresses. Now the problem I have is that the internet explorer is not registering that I am online. I have restarted the computer a couple of times, but internet explorer still will not connect. It just continues to show the unable to display the page. The computer in question is on XP. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Laptop died and now I cant connect my desktop with the belkin usb adapter. It just keeps saying aquiring network address.

Use the Ethernet cable to verify the router or modem is working and connects to the Internet. If so, then check your wireless adapter in the desk top through device manager - it should detect the Belkin. Also, verify you are entering the correct WEP keys to access the wireless connection to the router or modem - sometimes it gets typed in wrong.

I have my wireless adapter connected and it shows my required network in the list, but I am not able to connect to it

I had trouble with linksys router and modem, it saw connection but would not connect. I found that my network adapter (drivers) were not installed. Make sure you check that the drivers are installed. If it looks like it, then uninstall then re-install again.

Hope it helps.

Set the SSID on at the router side. Alternately you can enter the SSID information manually at the computer side.

Yeah hey...belkin wireless router password reset

What is the brand of the router your using? This information will be from the router that you have. Use a wired connection from the router, check your default gateway (ipconfig) and type that numbers in your address bar. You will be able to access your set-up page, look for wireless tab and look for wireless security. You will see there your WEP key.
