Question about Philips SA5125/37 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Any help?? I have had my Philips 2 GB SA5125/37 mp3 player for a little over a year, and I have never had any problems with it until a few days ago. For the past few days I have tried to download music to my player and it wouldn't work. I would click the button to start the download and it said it was downloading but it stayed like that for almost an hour. It never did put the songs on the player. So today i tried to do it again but the computer wasn't recognizing my mp3 player. And then when i would unplug the USB cable, it would go to the PHILIPS and GOGEAR like it normally did, but now it just turns off. I can't get to my music or videos or anything. And i tried resetting it about 5 times and it didn't do anything. When i plug the USB cord into it, it just stays blank. I don't know what to do... any ideas??

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

I have dropped my Gogear Vibe in my drink about 2 years ago.It wouldn't work and it still dosen't turn on.So what do I do?

Moisture causes many problems with electronic devices. You can try putting your mp3 player in a bowl of dry rice, as the rice will absorb any moisture after a few days.
However, if your mp3 player has not been functional for 2 years, it is likely that your mp3 player is irreparably damaged and must be replaced.

If its new and your having this problem DO NOT hesitate to take it back. However most new gadgets when charging for the first time may require a bit more charging time than stated in the manuals.
If the problem persists take it back.

Help!!!!! My philips SA3125/02 isnt working!

Reset will NOT delete all your music, but the permanent fix that you need to prevent this from happening again will delete all the songs. Reset, and see if it works. But it might freeze up on you during vacation. You will have to keep pushing reset until you get home and have more time for the permanent fix.

Reset gogear

I had this problem a few days ago. I connected it to a computer that was running Ubuntu 7.1 and just deleted every file on the thing. Unfortunately this will not leave you with a functioning mp3 played, but if someone would please upload the files off of their working one it would.

Hi,
it appears you,ve overloaded it with 1 song too many.
connect to a PC With USB Lead ( If Applicable )
open device usually F:/G:/H:/ open music folder, delete 2-3 songs and reboot.
if this fails, try a reformat on the unit.
check instruction manual prior to all suggestions.
