I was so excited to buy my 4th gen nano yesterday (10/6/08) but after about four hours it died. I charged it all night in various ways. Through my computer, on my iBoom, via wall connection. and nothing worked

I'm so upset because I didn't even have it for a day

it wont turn on and it's driving me crazy

same thing except i clicked on a video 2 watch and it froze and idk what 2 do
and i have a question did u guys get everything off of itunes or use something else

  • Anonymous Oct 22, 2008

I too had that problem. I had my 4th gen nano for less than a week when it suddenly turned off while I was listening to music. It would not turn on again. Nor would Itunes pop up when I plug it into the pc. Being less than a week old, I returned the thing….

I get so frustrated with my ipod. it stays in my pocket all day during school, on hold, unless i use it. but when i try to use it, sometimes it freezes and the click wheel and center button refuse to work, or there's a delay and they click on things. Also, my clickwheel has started to click on things that i scroll over.

There seems to be no actual solution, and this only started happening when i updated the software on it. I think Apple may have sold this product as a BETA version of a better Ipod soon to be released. They also seem to be ignoring the issues that this ipod has.

I havent even had mine for a month and I already want to take it back. >:| Apple needs to take notice of this issue, someone needs to complain.

It could have something to do with the software. So, if one of your friends buys the new Ipod, ask them not to update it and wait and see if it freezes. If it doesn't freeze (you'll definately lose that new Search option in the menu) but if it stops the freeze issue, we'll all be much happier with our SUPPOSED TO BE up-to-date, error-free Ipod Nano 4th Gen.

Mine is only 4GB, Im almost glad I didn't waste any extra money on the faulty device.

when i was playing a song i had on my ipod nano purple 8gb i put a cable into it to charge but it froze what do i do?

  • kismetology Dec 27, 2008

I just used my iPod for the first time today. I loaded my library onto it and after tinkering with it for a bit and listening to some songs, I put it on sleep. Hours later, it would not open! So I just did what one of the people here recommended. I pressed on the Menu button and the center button for a good few seconds and it was alive again. I just hope this won't be a recurring problem.

I just got my 4th generation iPod nano two hours ago. i plugged it into my computer, synced it, and then disconnected it. everything was going fine until i tried to play music, videos, games, anything. it would turn off and then the apple screen would pop up. then it would go to the main menu. basically, it's fully charged, it works fine, but it won't play! when i tried to watch a music video, it froze up and i had to reset it. i'm so frustrated! HELP!!!!!

i dont know if i have the same problem, but my ipod, was fully charged, working fine then all of a sudden, it went off, whatever i press or whenever i plug it in, nothing happens it doesnt turn on or anything. im complaining to apple, i only got it two weeks ago!!!

  • sfyfe30 Apr 27, 2009

yeah i don't get what you mean by that mherbst1, I have tried resetting it, restoring it, plugging it in, ejecting, and it reads on itunes and i can use it while its plugged in, just can unplug it and use it. maybe I should leave it plugged in for a half an hour even tho it's fully charged?

  • sfyfe30 Apr 27, 2009

i have the same problem! you have to go to the apple website and request a new one with your warranty that comes with it.

  • Anonymous May 25, 2009

I got my ipod nano 4th generation 5 days ago and on the 3rd day it ran out of battery completely. I was on the road and the resort I stayed at had Ipod docking stations in the room. I put it on the charger overnight and it still wouldn't turn on. The next day I bought a car charger for it and left it in there for a while. It still doesn't work.

Is there something wrong with them? I haven't dropped it yet and it's NEVER gotten wet. It rarely even leaves my pocket much less my sight.

may want to check the library in iTunes to make sure the files are there on your hard drive and on your iPod if the problem persists clear your library and make iTunes find your music in your hard drive again and try placing the music onto the device once more

Marantz how to connect 6005 amplifier to ipod

There are many solutions, I show two. The tip photo, shows a more expansive one. the lower photo the cheaper one. But both have two tulip plugs on the side for the amplifier and one 3,5 mm stereo telephone plug to the other side.
I tried both on a good stereo set, and could not hear different quality in sound. My guess, the quality comping from my iPods, iPhone and iPad is not the same as from my CD player. On the CD player, a better cable proved to give a better sound.

Hi,Just purchased 2 antec gain Bluetooth receivers type bxr 100. Operating instructions are not included. Maybe it's just me, but i'm not succeeding in getting them to work. No lights at all when they

Make sure that the unit is fully charged by a micro USB the light on it will be red until it's fully charged put phone in search mode and press the center button until the light flashes red and blue after the phone finds it you should have an option to auto pair when it's not in use it will turn off when paired and working pressing either track button will start the music player then just play with the buttons and see what it does you can stop anything from the phone controls

How to reset my combination lock number on ipod A1236

Hi William
If you have forgotten the code or put the wrong code in your ipod, you can unlock the Ipod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one Ipod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock Ipod using either (the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs). . . you can restore your ipod to factory settings using ipod Updater.
Please note that this will erase all data on your ipod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your ipod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your Ipod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted.
Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your ipod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
If you can't unlock your ipod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the Ipod, which will erase all music and data.
Please take time to rate me
Bud

My ipod is just playing without the sound carrying through to the speakers. I dont know how to make it work?

Verify there is nothing plugged into the headset port, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
Original iPhone only: While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris in the headset port:

To remove debris in the headset port, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset port and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times.
If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (choose Settings > General > Bluetooth).
If that doesn't work, try restarting the iPhone. Hold the Sleep/Wake button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the Sleep/Wake button to turn it back on.
If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
