I see that you have to extract the files from the zip archive.. you need to open the file and select extract all, extract it to your desktop for example.

then you need to connect your phone to the computer, bluetooth or with the data cable.

do you have bluetooth on your computer? if not you will need the data cable.

    heres the cable

Uploading pictures onto my PC

It took me a while:

go to Tools (bottom centre)
scroll to #8 -- USB Mass memory device
Plug in the "official" cable
Ignore the computer's complaint that it can't find the software
Press OK on the #8 "connect" option
Your phone screen will go blank shortly

Give the computer a moment and it will tell you it's found a new memory device and will show you the contacts. You can copy to and from the memory card -- pictures will be in my_pictures, etc.

When you're finished, press OK to disconnect the phone -- then unplug the cable.

Enjoy!!

Cheers, Dallas

Can't connect my motorola L6 to pc..

Hi,
What you need to do, is to use Motorola Phone Tools (MPT) to get the phone connected Via bluetooth or the data cable and this will install all the drivers for your phone.

Here is a link to download the MPT free....

There are two ways of doing this. The first is using Bluetooth, which is a wireless connection and the second is using the data cable and Motorola Phone Tools (MPT). I would recommend that you use the data cable because it is very thorough and it has a simple user interface.

The data cable you can purchase at any phone store or even on Ebay. As for the software MPT, here is a link that you can use to download it.

The link is:
http://rapidshare.de/files/34829443/MPTools_4.04b_Full_by_soft-best.net.zip

If they ask for a password to open the file after you have downloaded it then you can try this:
Password: Freshwap.com

When you copy and paste the link, you will be directed to rapid share. Then you scroll down the page to the button “free” located at the bottom of the second column. Click on the free button and then you will go onto another page. This page should have a timer counting down. This is how long you have to wait before you can download the file. When the timer expires, then you can enter the 3 character confirmation code that they give you, and then hit download and that’s it.

You will also need WINZIP, that is the software they use to zip the files. This you can get anywhere on the net but you can check: www.downloads.com if you don’t already have it.

Hope this helps

Motorola RAZR v3i THEME installation.

First unzip the zip file. If you need unzipping software, use www.7-zip.org. Extract all the files inside to your Desktop for easy locating. Be careful of unzipping a zip file. If you do not totally trust the source, zip files can have nasty viruses and malware on them. People sometimes load these onto P2P file sharing networks - maybe to discourage people from sharing. People do it anyway, just know the risks.

For the next steps, I need to know whether you are using a SD card or a USB cable to get the data into your phone.

Assuming it is an SD card, you need to have a SD card reader for your computer to transfer the files into it.

If it is a USB cable connection, you need a media managing software such as Motorola Phone Tools to do the transfer.

You could also do it with a mobile web service, if you have that service from your carrier. You'd need to upload the unzipped file(s) to a wap server, but there are many that are free.

Need help on music?

the data cables only come with software to install the phones driver onto your computer you need Motorola mobile phone tools in order to transfer things to your phone. You do need to pay for this program as well but it does have free trial software 2 other amazing programs are Mobiledit and Mobile Master. I'm sure there is some free software somewhere but I doubt they work very well. IN FACT, the whole process is really quite complicated and I will try my best to write a full guide on how to do it.
