Hello! I have canon ip1600 pixma printer. The paper in the printer does not feed properly. It twists to the right. Please suggest what to do.

Hi! You might have a broken paper feeder. It's a rubber coated hard plastic that rolls. I suggest you bring your unit to the canon service center.

there is something in the paper path, in an area you cannot see. Look carefully, from the front and back. Often the unit will need to be dismantled.

How do you fix a paper feed problem in a Cannon iP1600

Hi,
  1. Remove all of the paper from the paper tray and slide the paper guides all the way to the side. Examine the paper for any crumpled or torn pieces, then reload the tray. Make sure the guides fit snugly against the sides of the paper. If the guides are too loose, the paper can feed into the iP1600 skewed and cause a paper jam. If the guides are too tight it can cause the printer to grab more than one piece of paper.
  2. Open the front of the printer and wait for the print cartridges to move to the center. Do not move the cartridges by hand--this could damage the printer and void your warranty.
  3. Pull the cartridges slightly toward you and lift them free of the printer. Set the cartridges aside.
  4. Wipe the interior of the printer with a soft cloth to remove any ink residue and paper dust. The Pixma iP1600 has a tendency to accumulate a lot of paper dust, especially during periods of heavy use. Cleaning the printer periodically is the best way to avoid problems.
  5. Dip a cotton swab in warm water and carefully clean the bottom of each print cartridge. The print cartridges in the iP1600 printer also tend to accumulate paper dust. In addition the print nozzles can become clogged with ink residue, resulting in poor print quality and shortening the life of the cartridges. Continue wiping the cartridges until all ink residue and paper dust have been removed.
Good Luck!

Canon ip1600 jams paper when operated.why?.

You got a small shred of paper stuck in the paper track somewhere.

You could try feeding a sheet of light card or heavy gauge paper through which may clear it for you if that doesn't work you're going to have to get into it a check out all the rollers, right up to the edges, of the paper track. Don't forget to disconnect from the power source before you take any covers off.

Canon ip3300 paper feed not working properly

There is a small switch on the bottom left on the front of the printer that was selecting envelope feed instead of paper feed. Changing this fixed the problem.

Paper won't feed

This is sort of scenario is usually caused by dust inside the printer. Dust has a way of preventing the sensors from detecting paper. Also it prevents the rollers from having a firm grip on the paper while picking paper; they just contiue to roll. I will suggest you get a long handle brush and try to reach as far inside the printer as possible and brush (from the back and front). After blowing, if you have a blower you may also use it to blow well into the interior of the printer (If you do not have a blower the brushing will still do if you do it well.) This, if properly done should do it. Brush especially the rollers etc.

Cannon printer feed paper

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud
