Could be a number of things. Check all the fuses (the power wire, the amp). Make sure your ground wire hasn't worked loose. Make sure your remote wire hasn't worked loose either (sometimes vibration causes loose crimped wires to come out behind the head unit). Happy Hunting

Do i use all 4 wire terminals on each voice coil

doesnt matter the sub and the amp are made either 4 or 2 ohm, its not in the wiring itself, just use the negative and positive terminals as per usual.

Drivers door speaker not working

if you have moved speaker and it works it can only be on the audio output from your player/radio/sereo or you have a bad ground in your speaker wires. Have you placed the other speaker on the drivers door to eliminate that problem? Your speaker has to be grounded or it will not work and vibration is a comon cause in door mounted speakers.

bad connection. try hooking up a different test speaker to your amp. if it works you can trace the short into your sub. if not the terminals in your amp may need to be re-soldered.

Still doesnt work

If you may pls:
  • post back make and model;
  • detail circumstances prior to the fuse blowing;
  • how many speakers are connected;
  • have you checked the speakers themselves;
  • is it a sub in bridge mode;
  • have you checked the polarity, possible wire short or grounded
  • do you have access to and familiar with a continuity tester (DVM)?
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

JBL W15GTi repair?

you probably blow them out. i doesnt really matter if you never powered them up to the max, try a different speaker and see if they work, doesnt really matter what kind of speaker.
